View Full Version : The famous Nintendo ON video
Just in case you haven't watched it here it is.

Are these types of videos hard to make or are they so simple that any person can do them? Do you guys think there's any truth to this video? I know the revolution will not look like this, but could it be possible that this video did come out from Nintendo? What if this is stage two of Nintendo's Revolution Plan for 2010?

While I have no idea where they got that footage of the done-up next-gen looking Mario castle.....I must say that what impresses me the most is that the ACTUAL revolution impresses me MORE than this video.
I think the REAL revolution is much more innovative, simple, and brilliant than any immersive VR visor doohickey.
Yay Nintendo.
Does anyone know where I can actually download a high-res version of this video for my own archive?
Thanks.

I remember my cousing showing me that video quite some time ago. I think the first thing I thought of when I saw that was that Nintendo was trying to show that the Revolution will be exponentially better than the N64 and Mario 64 (by showing that it would take billions of them just to equal the power of it).
Thats just my theory though.

I don't think it's real, but VR that good looking would probably cause me to become a hermit.

The story I heard was that some guy actually made it as a portfolio piece to show to Nintendo in hopes of getting a job, and it just happened to get out on the net.
It's VERY impressive, and I think does a great job of showing off Ninty's history.

With the Revolution my game room will be less cluttered.

Title fixed.
I have no time for fakes. The bit with the castles was cool, but somebody just let a render work overnight on their system for a day, nothing special.

Yeah, let's see you come up with something like that, if it's so easy. Just hit render!

That castle is definately cool looking, but the Mario looks way too human, and why does he run like Sonic?
I think that it was just a video made by somebody for fun, no truth in it, yet.

Well, that came out the wrong way. I mean to say that they rendered something over a period of time, and not to expect that sort of thing to be on the Rev (though I'm not thinking the Rev wouldn't be able to do that). All I meant to say was that this is not a good thing to base your expectations on.
