One underestimated retro console is definately the Philips CD-i. You ever heard about that one? It's got a new website with all the links to the current CD-i community, video's, games archive, the new emulator and all the talks about the famous Nintendo license for CD-i and it's Mario and Zelda titles.
That's some facts about your SNES add-on!

check it out here: http://www.cd-i.eigenstart.nl

and click on the forum link to look up every bit of info about the Nintendo link.

I'm sure the Philips CD-i holds more secrets than you know of!

Yours,
David

Thanks for your support Captain J, The only thing is to inform people of the websites CD-i has, it's a link portal ofcourse also covering the great ICDIA website. Tell me, how are you involved with the system?

My CD-i website buys me booze and can beat both of your CD-i websites up.

Captain_J, do you have this infomercial somewhere?

Do you guys have ever played the cd-i? Browsing through the archive makes me think more of you like the system!

Did somebody say emulator? The only one I knew of reportedly just played part of Rise of the Robots, which is useless to me (don't even own that game).

actually there's a new one out, it's a pay to play emu but it works well, same setup as magic engine in that you can try the emu for 5 min. i think, was playing zelda on it a while back, gonna have to go back and try mario wacky worlds again.

I've heard that Phillips spent so much on advertising that they could've just given the systems away and had large installed base, which would've been cheaper.

Had that happened, we would've seen many more CDi games.
