About the only bad thing I can say regarding the PSP is that for some reason, my thumb starts to really get uncomfortable. I'm not sure why it is. But it's like I get a freaking arthritis of the thumb or something when I play the PSP for more than 5 minutes and use that D pad. Some games are much worse than others in that regard.

I'm just wondering if maybe the handgrips would actually help me. Personally, I really don't like the idea of using them, and I think the PSP would be much cooler without those things attatched to it, but damn, I might have to choose comfort over looks.

Do you paint your bald spot? Do you paint your bald spot?

By the way somethin.... Why ya care?

I always play my PSP inside the Logitech PlayGear Pocket case. It makes the whole experience significantly more comfortable.

I don't really like playing in the play gear, PSP is comftorable enough for me. As for the handgrips I haven't tried them.

I get a similiar discomfort after an hour or two on the D-Pad or Analog nub - but I only notice it when I've finished playing the PSP, and try to use my thumb for something else. But I guess I don't really mind enough at the moment to want to consider buying another accessory.

Same here. But after 2hrs+ of gaming on GTA, my whole right hand goes numb.

I don't have that problem for some reason. I've never felt any controller or system to be uncomfortable.

I've noticed this too. After about 5 minutes on a PSP my thumbs and hands are screaming in pain. :(

I have had some discomfort while playing Wipeout Pure. Other than that, the PSP has been quite comfortable.

When using the crappy nub, yes. The controls on the system, as a whole, are really poorly thought out. I don't have any suggestions; maybe get one of those analog stick attachments for the nub. Those look like they could alleviate some discomfort, at least when playing any analogue heavy games.
