after like 5 mins it shuts off, i have no idea whats going on, the light dims and the tv goes static. PLEASE HELP

Hmm... dunno about that one. First, check your TV connections; I've got a couple of service manuals, so I'll have to get back to you on that :).

i tried a different ac adapter and it just showed static for a few seconds then faded to tv. i switched the adapter that it was workin with to a different outlet and it worked for like 10 mins then died

Sounds like a ground or a short. Is the actual unit dying. As Chris said, try looking online for similiar occurences. Sounds like a challenge, but if your like me I like them. :)

i have 2 other nes's but i cant get either of them to stop blinking, i think it might be a something with the ac adapter. i think imma try to switch the 72 pin into one of the other nes's and give it a shot
it's like the unit dies, the red light fades out and the tv goes to static.

Are you trying it with the same game all of the time, or switching games. I know a few of my games do that even after cleaning them to death. If you have another NES game, try and see if that works.
