Hmm . . . the cartridge has the same shape as this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3002187446&category=27240), which I'm certain is a bootleg, albeit one of undetermined origin. Interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised. After all, there is a Sonic game for Super Famicom/SNES.

i played that rom it's actually a good game if you can figure out the game engine :D .

If you look at it it is obviously fake.
The picture of mario is from mario 64 so is the lettering.
That style of writing for supermario did not even come around to at least super mario 3 on the allstar version but i can be wrong.

i'd say its a brazilian/south-american pirate cart, not a fake thing, i'm pretty sure it will work, but i don't think a pirate cart is worth that much ;)
