I've received 2 offers for this for $525 and $550. I'd still like to sell it to a fellow collector, so if anyone can match that or beat it, let me know

You original post states 500 plus shipping gets the system.
You got a offer for 550 what is the problem? Maybe you should change the opening post to post your highest offer I will review all offers and make a decision at the end of the week.
Or state what is the outrageous price you really want for it.
Do you really want a collector to get it? if so unload it.

The offers I got were local ones, and while I have no problem selling most things like that, I do have some worry about my family's safety meeting someone at the house to exchange a "hot" (in terms of people wanting it, not stolen) item such as this. I mean really, they could come to my house, no cash, but stick a gun in my face and take it, and the rest of my stuff too. Not saying it would happen, but it could I suppose. That's why I would rather sell it on some forum such as this. Seems safer to me.

If I'm not mistaken, you have no feedback on DP.

check out RickHarrisMaine on atariage. Also check me out on ebay under rick_riley. I think you'll find people tend to consider me a pretty above board character. I just haven't been here too long, which doesn't in and of itself translate to "bullshit"

LOL
I love the fact you are giving a pacman for the atari 2600 with it.

That's the first video game craze I remember. I remember when this game came out for the 2600, and it was sold out everywhere, people were getting beat up at Toys R Us over it, it was total mayhem. Just like this in a way.

I remember the Pac-Man craze also, my mom had to pay $around $38.00 for it for us at Christmas time. If you sell it local, why not met the buyer at say Wal-Mart to do the exchange? I have met several people like that to buy stuff. Just a thought,
Tony

That's not a bad idea, actually. If any trouble goes down, there's always the greeters there to help me! They'll toss a cane at them, and try and cover them with stickers! LOL
Seriously, though, that is a good idea.
