Has anyone played this game yet for the ds? I havent purchased a ds game yet and was thinking of getting this one to start with? I heard it was a short game, but looks interesting to play... if not any other good titles you've played on the ds and loved?

I actually purchased Trace Memory, along with Nintendogs and Castlevania, and I think it was a pretty good game. True, it was short, but it was a nice, easy going adventure game, good story, with some puzzle solving elements to it. I would be interested in a sequel if they ever make one :) My other two purchases were also very good games, btw. On my list to finally try are: Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center, Meteos, Nanostray, Lost In Blue and Mario & Luigi: Partners in time. I WANT play Lunar just because I have been a Lunar whore since '92, but I heard, and have seen a bit of too, that it's a disgrace to the Lunar name and I may end up staying away from it (No place to rent DS games around here sadly).

I can't say too much about Trace Memory but I absolutely reccomend Trauma Center. It is probably one of my favorite portable games ever. In case you aren't sure what it is, you are a surgeon and have to treat patients on the touch-screen. It has a great story and the music is alright but not amazing. A small warning though: It gets pretty hard, you may have to do some operations at least 5 times until you get it right, and check FAQs often.

As far as other DS games, Castlevania is great for a one-player experience, but it isn't as unique as Trauma Center. Mario Kart DS offers great multiplayer and online, but the single player modes get kind of boring IMO. I also hear Sonic Rush is good but I haven't played it yet either.

Hope you find what you are looking for!

I'd really recommend Trace Memory / Another Code. Its a nice adventure game with some DS specific puzzles which were really fun. You just have to make sure you realise that its only going to take 6 hours and thats it

Great game as said, but it took me no more than 4 hours. The experience was really unique to me anyways, but it's likely a worthy rental and not so hot to purchase, given the length of the game. :/

I enjoyed it, however if your someone who hates short games with no replayablility, dont buy it. I have alot more impressions here:
