I walked into a semi local Game Crazy to have a couple of discs resurfaced (my kids have ruined their Harry Potter dvd's and needed their crack like fix) and I see the above scene sitting on the front counter. Immediately I walk over to them and ask "are these really all free" they assure me that they are and tell me to help myself. I of course lay claim to them and start going through them.

Nothing to exciting at first, just some sports titles. But since most are complete I am happy to fill some holes.

Now we're talking. I have actually been looking for Pac Mania and Star Trek, and I always loved this particular boxing game. Only one game left at the very bottom, I wonder what it could be....

Jackpot baby! Nothing like scoring a game you've been searching for and hoping not to pay the $40 that it goes for on ebay.

Also to any of you who work at Game Crazy these employees were exceptionally nice. We pretty much just "shot the shit" while my movies were being resurfaced. The two guys in the store were very friendly and helpful. When my discs were finished I felt compelled to buy something for all of my good fortune so I grabbed a sealed FF X2 black label off the shelf since I've been meaning to pick one up for the future. Price on the box was $14.99 but one of my new friends worked some magic on the register and rang it up as $4.99 @_@ . Thank you Game Crazy!

Just thought it would be nice to share a good experience with one of those national video game stores for a change

Nice score! I also wanted to add that the guys (and gals) at my local Game Crazy are also extremely nice. One of my favorite places to shop for games.

Sweet stuff! When I saw the first couple pictures, I was thinking to myself "That's not THAT good (espessially to be making an entire post about)"
But a complete Toe Jam for free! Good find!

I would also like to add that the employees at my local Game Crazy's are very nice as well. One in particular even went through the troble of gathering as many Game Gear games for me from other stores around the county. :D

Congrats on the complete Toejam (fun fun fun. I discovered it in the days of Sega Channel and hope to snag one for myself) and complete Greatest Heavyweights.

Going to the local GC is always a pleasure for me as well. Best place that sells games in the Evansville area next to Book Broker.

Home to some of the nicest people in the area to lurk behind a counter, only to emerge and wax your ass in Super Smash Bros. Melee... :embarrassed: I need to go back there again and maybe pick up some DS games.

I'd love to just get the games for free, even if they were all sports games, but TJ&E, that's just the iceing on the cake. I wish there were GameCrazy's around me, I've never been in one :(

Toejam and earl was my favorite genesis game when I was a kid. I had no idea it was also so valuable.

I like game crazy cause they have alot of old games cheap. BUT, unlike EBgames, they don't clean or test them at all.

They had a few copies of Tetris 2 for SNES that had encrusted -something-or-other all over the cart for 20 dollars.

I know, it's hardly the find of the year. I probably could've thrown this in the "weekend finds" section since this thread sounds more like a "check out the free crap I got" post instead of what I meant it to be. Which was to call attention to the nice people at Game Crazy.

We talked classic games the whole time I was there. When I brought up the Turbografx 16 one of the two employees (maybe 22 yrs old at most) asked what it was and seemed to actually listen, as opposed to humoring some old guy (I'm 28 LOL ). I never caught their names but thanks to the GC guys in Canton, OH.

Those are all in good condition too.
The place by me sells all their Genny games and none of them are in that kind of condition.

Congrats on the amazing find.

Do me a favor and play enough TJ&E to make up for all the time i have lost since mine got sold :-/

Just think of what could have happened if you didn't show up.

That stuff would go in the trash, I kid you not.

When I worked for GameCrazy they would throw away tons of these boxes.

I had no way to save them all...they didn't care....

I managed to save about a dozen....yet the GameCrazy around here does not accept these anymore....

Thank you sir, for saving the Genesis boxes from those idiots who wouldn't give two cents of knowledge to understand the beauty of Genesis....

The guys at most of the Game Crazies that I've been to have generally been nice. That being said, they are slow as molasses at looking up my Game Crazy card because their network database is not national, and it never takes me less than 20 minutes to get my games and get out. Usually 30-40 min. Then again, I'm picking out 5-10 random SNES games or whatever.

Congrats on the score! I too have looking for a complete Toejam & Earl, without having to pay the exorbitant prices found on ebay.

I'd also like to add that I too find Game Crazy employees to be the most courteous, helpful and knolwedgeable of all the game store employees. I guess they are doing something right with their hiring process.

I just came home from gamecrazy and trading in my Madden2006 for 360 for some store credit and i must say they have some awesome employees. I have been going to this one since they first opened up and i love shooting the breeze with them as they are so knowledgeable and friendly.

Wow, a GC praise thread. Do my eyes deceive me?

Lol...actually, I've never had a bad experience in one of these stores, except for a "new" game I got once that I realized wasn't sealed when I got home...kinda pissed me off to tmake the 50 mile round trip to bring it back. Other than that, GC has always been fine with me as far as employees and service. I just wish someone else would make a classic games store, since all the GCs are now PS1 and up.

DP, can you franchise? LOL If you do, I'll open a store in NH. :D

Nice find there!

One of the GC's here doesn't have PS1 games anymore. They still have NES/SNES etc, no more PS1 games though. :/
