Congrats. Enjoy the best Castlevania ever made (in my opinion). I wish I could play it for the first time all over again. I just played it through a few weeks ago.

Zelda a link to the past in 2 minutes, if you were able to press up and down simultaneously or right and left simultaneously, that is what would happen.

Like everyone else has said, this game is pure greatness. I played through this game a good 3-4 times, and probably would still be playing it if mario kart and animal crossing didn't come into the picture. Also believe it to be the best in the castlevania series.

Yeah, whoa... That's a speed-run I've never seen before.
I still don't know what this has to do with the Castlevania game though. Good job on getting the game.

I can't view the movie right now, but David Wonn's (http://kontek.net/davidwonn/) page documents many of the possible glitches.

Thanks everybody. I got the game because so many people on the forums have given it so many good reviews. I have to say "Thank You". By far, I really like to read what people have to say. Be good and be safe. :)

Me too, picked up mine at EB on the 31st. I've been playing it pretty religiously the last 2 days. At the halfway-point Richter battle right now. I forgot how extensive it was, hadn't played through it in about 3 or 4 years.

Edit:

I would like to get Castlevania: Symphony of Night if it wasn't $50+ some dollars

The EB here has at least one other copy, disc only though, for $25. Probably not something you're interested in, but if so, PM me.

You go to a save room and press up while standing underneath the giant coffin.

A friend of mine picked SOTN up back in college. I took it and beat it before him. It was so involving and addicting. I have always put it on a pedestal of gaming perfection. I am glad to see it still being discovered. I wish I owned my own copy. He keeps his atop his television complete, non-greatest hits version.

He wants to be buried with it.

Anyone want to rob a grave?

Congrats!

CastleVania:SotN is brillant and the best CastleVania ever.

Only CastleVania 3 comes close to SotN.

I picked this up at blockbuster about a year ago for 9.99 sealed (GH). I played it a bit, but got stuck. Since then I havnt touched it, but the game sure seems like it has potential.

So far, the best Castlevania Ive played is Circle of the Moon for GBA, the others have been too easy.

Pehaps Ill get back into SotN.

Good god.

I bought this game two years ago. Unfortunately, I bought it right when my PS2 decided to stop playing original Playstation games.

I've been borrowing my brother's slimline PS2 for the past month, and I finally thought to pull this game out two days ago.

It's unreal.

I never thought any game could steal the crown of "Best 2D side-scroller" from "Super Metroid." Well, this game did.

I can't wait to keep playing it! It's VERY difficult sharing one TV with your live-in ladyfriend. I can't WAIT until she leaves for class tomorrow...

...'cause when she does, I'm fixin' to put a HURT on the catacombs.

I got the import (Dracula X) before the US version came out.:P

You know, I always said "they took Super Metroid, changed the graphics, and called it "Castlevania- SotN". It's still a lot of fun though. Actually, I played it just the other day and unfortunately... I think I'm getting tired of it...

I wish this was true. I bought mine for $20 about a year ago (mint, complete, non-GH). I played it for a week and was very unimpressed. I waded through all the enemies that die in a single hit, tinkered with the completely weak and useless familiars, explored everything but the tunnel with the spikes and was relieved when it was finally over. I have been planning on selling my copy for a while now but I will wait until November 2006. I can't imagine wasting any more time with it.

A case of walking backwards sometimes leads you to surprises. Just like if you long jump backwards up neverending staircase in Mario 64.
