NES sleeves

I'm starting to get serious with my nes collection and I was wondering which games came with blank sleeves and which came with the ones that have Nintendo printed on them. Any ideas?

I always thought that all of the games that Nintendo made themselves came with the Nintendo sleeve, all others/third-party came with the plain black ones.

I'm pretty sure first party Nintendo games (SMB, Zelda, Metroid, Wrecking Crew, etc.) came with "Nintendo" sleeves, third parties' did not. Also remember that some games released during the NES' twilight days came with a "glossy" Nintendo sleeve (e.g. Startropics 2).

I have a question of my own (asked this in another thread a couple weeks ago): did Mega Man 6 and other games published by Nintendo but developed by other companies (Faxanadu, Dragon Warrior, Nintendo World Cup, etc.)come with "Nintendo" sleeves as well?

ooh...trying to match sleeves to games? difficult task!

ive got many of the nintendo and non nintendo ones, but i have several of the thick, really crappy ones too. who knows what games those came with. and tracking down wisdom tree, AVE or tengen sleeves may prove difficult as well...

Sleeve is a sleeve to me in my opinion. But anyways, my best guess is that the blank ones were just sold seperatly by 3rd party companies
