This is kind of hard to be clear with my question so some explanation would probably be best to start off with. :embarrassed: I am learning chinese and would be interested in buying official releases that are in chinese. When I search sites like play-asia for psp games there is an asian release section, and some of those games are specifically chinese language version games and those would obviously be the safest bet but what about the other "asia" games? Would they also be in chinese or just have an extra manual that is in chinese with the gameplay still in japanese?

I am kind of embarassed to ask this becasue it probably has a very obvious answer but I did a search and couldn't find anything. :embarrassed: I am very new to importing...

If a link can help clarify my question here it is:

Thank you in advance!

my understanding is unless specifically mentioned as Chinese language it'd be just Japanese disc with Chinese manual - sometimes Chinese/English manual or English instead of Japanese text on the disc...
I know it's crazy but Asian release seems to be anything with NTSC-J region coding but released outside Japan with rare exception off PAL region coding but still under Asian release as well on some countries...

Yes, in general the Asia release is the Japanese version with different language packaging, be it English or Chinese, or whatever (Korean too I figure).

Most of the Asian releases still have the japanese manual, they'll just have a small insert in english and chinese that goes along with it.

So yea, you'll probably want to hunt down the official chinese releases when possible.
