Okay, so, I bought a cart-only copy of Secret of Mana a few months ago, and recently acquired a strategy guide to go with it. Despite the fact that I'm a huge fan of SNES RPGs (and have been since they were originally being released), somehow SOM has eluded me, and I have never so much as played it for even five minutes.

My question is this: I have a friend who is in a similar situation as me re: the game (he loves SNES RPGs, but has never played that one) who is willing to play it multiplayer with me. Am I better off playing it through one player first, and then going to multiplayer? Is the multiplayer handled well, or is it a stupid waste of time? Etc.

Thanks in advance for your input.

its a great deal more fun multiplayer.
the computer's ai gets the other charecters stuck alot.
it defonatly doesn't detract from the game at all.

as a side note theres a big big glitch in the game, never ever ever do a super charged up attack when you are asbout to use the whip to cross a gap, it'll freeze the game ;-)

but yeah, go for the multiplayer experience even if its your first time playing the game.

Way more fun multiplayer, awsome game single player, but with a freind, it's the best SNES game in my books, you just get attached to the characters trying to keep eachother alive.

Great game multiplayer, my brother and I played it when it came out. I was little and didn't fully understand the storyline, but it was an amazing game to play. I'm always gonna remember using Sprite and attacking with the sword. He looked so goofy when doing it. LOL

I thank God at least once a week I live in Milwaukee so I can walk down the street and get a free copy of The Onion whenever I want
