Sprint - Atari - Black & White

Slalom - Nintendo - Standup with ski's that rock left to right.

I may have the opportunity to purchase these in the next couple months, and I need an estimate value.

Controlls on both seem to work great. No major damage, but not Mint either.

Thanks,
-Chris

It's super cool, and I mean SUPER, but outside of knuckleheads like us, they typically don't garner much coin. If you can snag it for $150 or so, sweet deal! More than that, and it's up to you: if you don't mind a big HEAVY cab (those old Atari BW games are H-E-A-V-Y) that may have little resale value (in the event that you move, want a lot more cabs, etc., someday and want to sell for some reason) then go for it regardless of price. And if you do buy it and ever want to sell, make sure to look up Mr. ClubNinja. :)

Nintendo vs. cabs are pretty common, and the Slalom chipset in particular is really common.

The control setup, on the other hand, is NOT common, especially in nice, working shape. Still, price depends mainly on how much you're willing to pay. If you can snag it for $200 or less (based on the controller setup), consider it another good deal. More than that - up to you to decide how much it's worth to you.

Not sure how much that helps, coin-op pricing is all pretty subjective (outside of huge hits like Ms. Pac, Galaga, Defender, etc.). F'rinstance, I'd pass on Sprint unless I could get it for $100 or so. Not because it's not worth more, but because I don't have the room for it and I'd wind up in a situation where moving it would be rough. :) Slalom I'd pass on too unless I could get it for around the same price. But again, that decision is based on space and my own interest in the game. I love the gimmicky control, but in the end, I know I wouldn't play it all that much and would probably wind up converting it into another vs. game or an older Nintendo game like DK Jr., Popeye, etc.

I can't comment on the other, but I would concur that $150 is a good cap on this one. I should ask you to clarify though, at least for me, is this a "Sprint 1" or "Sprint 2"? If Sprint 2, then I'd probably even go less and no more than $100, given it's relative commonousity as far as B&Ws go.

Either way, feel free to drive it up to Massachusetts for me - I'll buy you a drink ;)

If you really like the slalom game and the controller, I'd pick it up. If you don't, I'd see it as "another unique thing that could break." :)

Yeah I am going for sheer "cool factor" on the slalom. The monitor is a little faded on it, but it plays well, and the cab itself is in great shape. I read on KLOV that the cabs with the actual skis are pretty rare.

The sprint cab is a 2-Sprint, pretty common I'd guess, but still cool. Works pretty well. Monitor has the usual burn-in.

I THINK I can obtain these for $100 a piece. These would be for my home, not for resale or anything.

But man..... That slalom is pretty freaking cool!

A nice, working Sprint 2 is still definitely good for $100.
