Hey everyone.

I have decided to sell two of the four Crystal DS Systems I have shown in this picture. The top two and the bottom two are spoken for, two have been sold to members of the site during my weekend sale some time ago.

This sale is for the two center units shown here

Check out the original post here for information on the units:

Just so you know, these were made by NYC Peach and are encrusted in Swarovski Crystal.

Either of these will be $550 shipped, which is exactly what they sold for this winter, I am sure by now these are all sold out at the NWS in NYC. I will entertain serious trade offers as well, I collect for almost anything 1986+

When I was the World Store last month I was wondering if those things were worth anything. I've never seen one on ebay.

What was amazing was how much attention they recieved in the store. When they opened the case a crowd formed.

I must admit I do really like that checkered one. This could be a good deal for someone if these do happen to go up in value later on.

Good luck with the sale! :)

I don't mean to intrude, but I have had a question plaguing me. Do you have any idea how the crystals are secured to the DS's? It would seem as though if you were to actually use one they would start to fall off.

They are secured by a special bonding process. This technique is commonly used for everyday items like cell phones, things that you have in your hands constantly. With the DS, you don't actually come into contact with the crystals while playing. Some items like a T-mobile sidekick you would.

The quality of the work is top-notch. You wont see even the slightest amount of adheasive left over, these are jewelry quality pieces.

I wish I had some bucks left... because those DS look awasome, and fancy (that way my sis would give me back my GBA SP... :P)

Well I guess all I have left to say is success with your sale!

i don't mean to go dumping in your thread or anything, but just to keep you and DS collectors well informed...

these aren't limited to the NWS with exception of the nintendogs paw one. if you go to NYC Peach's website, they have an option for you to custom make things just like this. you tell them what product you want done up, pick a pattern and color scheme (both of which are the ones shown in that picture of yours and more) and send them the DS.

the price doesn't change though when you add it all up. when you figure the cost of a brand new DS, the cost of the crystals, and the labor for someone attaching them all, it works out to be correct. NWS didn't overcharge at all.

but they are not limited in any way. you just have to know where to look and be willing to fork over the massive wad of cash. anybody can have the exact same one made, or a completely different "one of a kind" DS made.
