The game boxes in the middle are going to become drawers (Along with the empty spots on the very bottom), and I ran out of wood for the top piece obviously. Also needs to be stained and poly'd once spring comes around. Inspired by Smash bros. Melee! :)

VERY NICE. For a long time I've tried to figure out how to neatly & attractively store & display all of my systems. I've always thought about various shelving/storage solutions sold retail. Dense as I am, I never even thought of actually building one myself.

Now you've got me thinking about this. If I actually do end up making something like this, I've got you to thank for the inspiration.

Looks great!

Oh, man, totally sweet, I want one bad!

I'd copy your design if I had any mechanical ability whatsoever.

Why not post instructions on building one ourselves for those of us without mechanical abilities (or shop class skills)?

are you just displaying/storing on this shelf system or are you gonna hook them up to play??

To the left (outside of the picture) I have a surge protector and A/V input connected to my TV, so any console I feel like playing I just take down and turn on. After I clean up/finish etc... I'm going to probably put the power supply and 1 controller next to each console to make things even easier.

OK, short answer - Yes, Hook them up.

Looks great!

I have a few questions thou.

How did you decide on the layout?

Is there a method to your madness? (as to which systems are going where)

Also cart based systems with top loading slots might be a bit hard to pull in/out on a few of the setups now. Or is this just the way it looks from the picture?

Maybe something to think about, or add later, would have been cabinet slides with a flat piece of wood, for some of the systems to sit on which could be pulled out for easier access for those types of systems.

I measured Each System beforehand (EVERY system, height and width, then averaged out the height I have 4", 5", 6", and 7" shelves). I take the systems down to play them, so top-loaders are OK. I'll take a..... http://www.geocities.com/sylentwulf2/specs.jpg

there. That's the graph paper "blueprint" The 6 drawers are going to hold controllers and power supplies. I should have the drawers done tomorrow.
