Beach Spikers Question

Since Best Buy has been blowing this out for $10, I imagine allot of people here picked this up recently and can help me out:

My partner in the game is completely useless. Whenever the ball is served to her, she just watches it hit the sand. The few times she can actually get to it in a match, she does manage to set me up for a spike but thats as good as she gets. Is there a way I can toggle between my 2 players somehow? There is no way I can get to EVERY serve/return myself. Any tips?

Your partner levels up after each match, moreso if you win. Just keep at it.

I'd suggest you concentrate your level-up points in "response" at first.

GameFAQs says that you can unlock a mode where you control both people by winning the World Tour (or whatever it's called) mode. You might need to take 1st place -- I forget.
