This may be a store by store thing, but I stopped in last week with some gift certificates and saw some Intec GameCube screens with free rechargable car battery. I didn't see a price on them, so I left them all there.

Today I stopped in again, and right after I had picked one up to look at it again, an employee asked me if I had any questions. I asked how much it was. $49.99.

Rechargable battery packs by themselves cost $49.99, so it's a heck of a deal in my mind. I actually have no use for the battery, but I had been thinking about gettin g a screen for a while.

I don't know if this is just Milwaukee, but if you're looking for a LCD screen, it's a heck of a deal to look for!

Actually, I've been meaning to post a couple of things I found too. Circuit city seems to be clearancing GameCube screens as well. I got one made by "verge", with a car adapter for $35!

Also, at Blockbuster last night, I found Halo 2 for $6.99, GameCube controllers for $5.99, and two WaveBird Rechargeable battery packs for $.99. They seem to be getting rid of GC controller stuff.

Anyways, there is some more sales to look out for.

I picked this up last night and let me say that the Intec screen is blurry as hell. I also own the Mad Catz Universal LCD (which is $50 right now at EB B&M stores) and the Intec screen is trash compared to it. I kept adjusting the brightness because I thought the blur would get better. It didn't, but I'm going to keep it anyway because I kicked out for it.

FWIW...EB's VOM (Vendor of the Month) is MadCatz. So that means all MadCatz items are Buy One - Get One 50% off (equal or lesser value of course). So you can actually get two of the MadCats screens for $75 total, or the screen and the car power inverter for $70 total...etc.

Gamer's coupon?

On their "Video Game" gift cards, they have a coupon for "Buy a video game or accessory for $19.99 or more, save $5.00." When I know that there are games that I really want to get coming up, I get myself a gift card for $5.00 a few weeks in advance and then go back and use it for it. I recently picked up Anamaniacs for the GameCube for only $14.99 using this :)

A quick review -- I used mine a bit... it is blurry, but not unplayably so. Not nearly the quality of the PS1 that I have, but still decent in my opinion.

The one thing about it that I LOVE is that the screen allows for input from other devices. I could hook my Xbox up to it too, or a Jaguar or a VCR or whatever through composite hookups. That alone is worth it for me.

On a crappy note, my GameCube out cord doesn't quite reach far enough :( But I will open it up and fix that. Other than that -- and it includes a car adaptor too -- it was easily worth the money.
