How is Chocobo Racing (PSX)?

I'm on a cheap racing game tear as of late and came across Chocobo Racing for around $8 and I was wondering what you guys think of it. More specifically, is the time trial any good and are the tracks challenging? Thanks.

It should've been called Final Fantasy Kart.

And as you know, kart games always appear when ideas run dry and innovation disappears. When in doubt, put them in a race.

An example? Krazy Frog Racer. It makes you lose faith in humanity.

Its just another kart racer. Nothing really special other than its a 'FF' based racer (its actually a Chocobo Dungeon based racer, but you get the idea).

If its still there go and pick it up for the 8 bucks just for that. Its not all that easy to come across.

I liked Bomberman Fantasy Race :)

Sure maybe it was just a loose tie in for a bit of extra money out of the franchise - but it was fun, and that's all a game needs to be, right?

Don't know nuthin bout Chocobo Racer though.

I tend to hate racing games. but chocobo racing was alot of fun, fun racers decent courses and an overall good experience. YOu can't go wrong for under 10$.

a bunch of bizzare secret charecters can be unlocked like aya from parasite eve and squall.

for the price i'd say jump on it if you like spinning around in circles and birds.

Chocobo is an excellent racing game, have loved it ever since it came out. One of the big plus' of this game is the amount of unlockable characters, ex. Aya (parasite Eve), Squall (FFVIII)


I say pick it up, especially how cheap it is,
