What old-school game do you still play religiously to this day?
For me, it would have to be Tecmo Super Bowl for NES. That game never gets old for me & probably never will. I've been playing it for 10 years & still have as much fun with it as I did in 1991.
I honestly own 10 copies of the game (just in case the batteries in the first 9 go out) because I couldn't live without it.
What other games are the "Monopolies" & "Scrabbles" of the electronic generation?

I still play Robotron.. although there are others I could mention as well, Robotron is THE de-facto game imho that has really withstood the test of time. :) Fast gameplay, high body count, fun, challenging, difficult but masterable, and more importantly.. it MAKES YOU WANNA KICK IT'S FRIGGIN ASS AND SCORE THAT DAMN 500k OR 1 MILLION even years later. >:(

Any PacMan game
Also, pretty much most of my 5200 collection. I just can't get enough of this machine. I've been playing it since 1983 and the magic hasn't worn off yet.

DEFINITELY Tecmo Super Bowl for NES, as well as TSB 1 & 2 (#3 SUCKS) on SNES. I play those every chance I get--I finally completed a full season through the super bowl for all but two teams, the Browns and Buccaneers. They will be conquered shortly.
Oh, and Ms. Pac-man. I can't walk by the arcade machine without putting at least a couple quarters in.

Miner 2049er for the Atari 800. I could play this one forever, it's so much fun. Hell even getting killed in it can be fun, like charging up on all the TNT on board 10 and blowing yourself up.

Ah... sadly not. But the guys who did Laser Squad went onto do X-Com (well the first 3 in the series at least) and a LOT of the gameplay mechanics were transfered over and reused. Hence I got into X-Com incredibly easily due to my Laser Squad experience.
Get yourself a C64 emulator and a copy of Laser Squad on the web, and have a go (most copies should have docs on the disc)...

I'll throw Dodge 'Em into the mix. I don't know what it is about it, but when I have a VCS fix I invariably play Dodge 'Em.
For my 800 XL I usually pop in River Raid.
And Link to the Past, while not totally old school, is a great game to go back to. That and Super Mario World - and having them both for my GBA is just that much sweeter.

Super Dodge Ball for the NES and NHL 96 for the Genesis. On NHL 96 I'm currently playing my 5th consecutive season in a row. It's in my Genny pretty much everyday.

It is questionable if it is considered a "classic" but I just adore ROLLING THUNDER. I consistantly find myself going back to this game and playing through it even when I tell myself just one level prior to booting it up.
