Two thoughts:
I've always wanted to see a deep comparison betwee the original Ridge Racer and the version included with R4. Not too technical, but enough to point out why it worked out like it did.
And a feature on "lost" demo discs would rock.

How about a story about franchises that died with the PlayStation. Colony Wars comes to mind right away but there must be enough of them to get a decent update.

OOoh, excellent choices so far. Points taken :)
Keep them coming, I'm off to school, >_>

Artdink titles. LOL
No seriously, there might only be a few of them, but they are certainly the most eccentric of the library, well deserving of an exposé.

I would love to see an article that has "Zelda Equivalents for Playstation", I.e. Alundra, Herc's Adventures, etc.
Would be awesome!

i'd like to see a special focused on games that were released on the SNES and the PlayStation, comparison of them and so on

How about this, a special on the 2d releases for the playstation?
Sony pushed the system as a 3d system and did not allow many 2d games to be put on the playstation. I think that would be interesting.

How about doing an update based around 2D shmups of the PSX? With games like Thunder Force V, Strikers 1945, and R-Type Delta, how could you go wrong?

Games that no one but a collector has heard of, much less played, much less actually own. Doesn't have to be limited to just the rarest of the rare.

We're up to nine, one more and the ideas go into the hat for the drawing!
Also, I have to admit, these are *damn* impressive ideas...out of 9 ideas I hadn't thought of any of them. You guys rule. :)
Oops...teacher's looking...(zip!)

I'm 11th, but my idea is good.
An analysis into excellent J titles unreleased in US/PAL regions, and why that was. I'm sure dozens pop into mind right away. It could be a real interesting insight into cross cultural differences, which I would find most fascinating.

There are honestly just too many of those to really get much of anything in the average turnaround time that the site updates on. I know i've only got 10 Japanese PS games, and most of them (8 of 10 and the two that were are both edited) wernt released in America (or probably in PAL format either) so it would get pretty fleeting pretty fast. Not to say that its not super interesting or isnt something that i'd want to know about (it is) I just don't think we've got quite the right resources for it.
HRM..... update possibilities......
I vote Arcade games that got the PS treatment and what happened to them in their porting. As good? Better? Worse?

Well you certainly don't need to do all of them, that's for sure, there are probably dozens that qualify.
I was only thinking of selecting a handful, 1s that many people are aware of but probably don't own.

I'd like to see comparisons of Saturn/N64 vs. PSX. For instance, the Capcom fighters and Tomb Raider on Saturn, or RR64 vs. PSX RR.

All great ideas, though to follow up what Papastu said, Game-Rave is more US Based than anything else, and to be honest, outside of a few (read: very few) Japan only games I've played, there's only really three, maybe four games that I can think of to write about.
That may actually be a neat feature to go along with an update, however, thus it is duly noted.
The "first 10" drawing will be held Wednesday after school, so figure by 9pm-ish and I should post the winner.
Keep the ideas coming! I really do appreciate it :D

Had some time before school, so I did the drawing early. :)
All entires were printed on to strips and folded, and then tossed onto a Simpsons Hit and Run Hat. After mixing, I lifted the hat above my head, and mixed one more time, and pulled the winner.
And the winner for Game Rave's next Update Idea is.....
TYLERWILLIS :bday:
Congrats, Tyler! Please PM me with your address and I can mail out your PSOne Demo Prize Pack :D
Thanks for playing everyone, and as I said, all Ideas will be used in random order. They're too good to throw away.
Off to school,
Jason
