Ok, anyone who read my post in the weekend finds knows where this find came from. I went down late last night to look at the wonderful find coming to me, was talking to the guy who runs the youth center, and said for 125, i could take all the sega genesis games along with all the nes games (originally 100 for all nes games, and threw in sega then). Well, tonight I went back down there, and gave him 25 bucks down payment until payday on friday, and he allowed me to take home some stuff tonight. Greed did not overcome me tonight, despite there being SO much nice stuff, I just grabbed these few things for now

http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e366/vahn401/100_0815.jpg

So for 25 bucks tonight, I got a Complete NES satellite thing and Joystick controller, and I grabbed those select nes games cause I didn't know why they were odd shaped. Wizards and warriors provided me with hours of fun at youth, and will again after this post. And that sparkster game, I never knew there was a sequel to rocket knight. I'll keep you posted.

Well, i havent posted a find in such a long long time so i thought i might as well as im pleased with my January Sales Finds :)

My student loan came thru on the 9th, so i was damn excited to go shopping ;)

Yesterday i took a trip round town with my mates during my Lunch and hit the usual locations...
To my amazement, in Computer Exchange, all Neo Geo Pocket Games had been dramatically reduced in price!!!
Needless to say, i grabbed all the ones i needed and queued up to get them...
But with my luck, the guys behind the counter couldnt fidn them, so i had to wait till today to collect them (as they were going to look for them)

Also on that note, there is still another copy of Neo Geo Cup 98 Plus and Biomotor Unitron (both PAL/English i think!) So if anyone needs them, let me know!
(Both were boxed, however im not sure about complete... but even so, look at the price ;))

In gamestation too, i took advantage of the Buy One get one frees too :)
And found the American Version Castle Of Illusion for SMS Complete... As wierd as this is, its the fourth copy of the American CoI i have found in leeds within a year despite its rarity!!!! (Its for trade too, so if interested, let me know!)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/09-01-061.jpg

Price!? (im keeping hush as its trade bait ;))

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/09-01-062.jpg

Buy One Get One Free's. The Prince Of Persia was actually £1.99 which is good :) and the USA exclusive Young Indy from CeX was reduced down to £2 for me :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/09-01-063.jpg

More BoGoF's with some awesome Jap GG Titles! :D

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/09-01-064.jpg

Some free manuals (The Mario one is spare i think...)
and BoF for a mere £9.99 :)

Anyways, i checked my lists last night and realised i missed a few Megadrive games i needed and went back to the shops again today :)
(My art college is in the centre of Leeds City Centre so its no worry for me at all!)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/10-01-061.jpg

I collected my NGPC games :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/10-01-063.jpg

Got the other 2 BoGoF's i needed :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v366/cauterize4/10-01-062.jpg

and with a gift voucher for Virgin off my relatives, i got myself One Piece Grand Battle as i absolutely LOVE the anime series! (I was totally unaware it had a PAL release, however the Virgin Exclusive label is making me wonder!)

So yeah, if you need those 2 NGPC games, let me know as quick as possible, as theyre likely to go (Possibly by a Leeds based person reading this ;))
And same goes for the USA Castle Of Illusion!!!

Man, I wish I could find Rolling Thunder 2 or NGPC games...

Nice Japanese GG titles with the exception of G-Loc. You just kinda roll around and mash buttons at random, it's impossible to see anything coming LOL

For my part, I found Shenmue for Dreamcast at the local Goodwill...but disc 1 was missing and the others were a bit scuffed. Didn't pick it up.

Yesterday, I heard that CompUSA was clearancing out some of their games so I went to check it out. There are two in the area and on the way to the second one, I passed by a thrift store I don't get to often. I stopped in and definitely picked the right day to do that. I immediately noticed the Genesis games shelved with the videocassettes. Most were sports titles and quite a few were lacking instructions, but there were two games I didn't have that were complete. And next to one, I found a complete Intellivision US Ski Team Skiing:
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~goldberg/randompics/wdf1-12-06/ski+gens.jpg

Moving on into the electronics section, I saw a whole stack of Colecovision games and picked them up for $2 a piece. Nothing great, except I guess that Choplifter is somewhat hard to find:
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~goldberg/randompics/wdf1-12-06/colecos.jpg

But then, in the shelf above, I saw all these colorful boxes with Odyssey 2 on them. I have never seen an Odyssey 2 or any games for it in person before today. Heck, before 1998 or so, I didn't even know what the Odyssey 2 was. So, I checked them out and they were all complete with box, game, and instructions (and a few had extras posters or advertisements in them). The only loose game was Monkey-Shines which I passed up. I was happy to get these for $2 a piece, even if, upon getting home, I find that none are particularly rare or valuable:
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~goldberg/randompics/wdf1-12-06/o2s.jpg

Now, it would have been nice if the hardware for some of these games was available, but hard as I looked, I could find no Colecovision or Odyssey 2 (there was a Genesis, but I already have several). However, upon by searching for the system, I came upon a Quest for the Rings box. Peering inside, it looked like it was complete with all the parts! When I got home, I discovered that it was actually missing two of the castle pieces. It's a shame - I came upon a Quest for the Rings box a few months ago that was much further from complete, but it would have been nice to have grabbed it so that I could fill in this set and have a complete one. Oh well, at least this came with the Odyssey 2 instruction manual in it as well:
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~goldberg/randompics/wdf1-12-06/questfortherings.jpg

Oh, and from CompUSA, I found four sealed games I wanted for $10 a piece (Jet Set Radio Future, Shenmue II, Wild Arms 3, and Eternal Darkness). Next to a CompUSA was a Movie Trading Company store where I finally found a (used) copy of Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for $10 or less:
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~goldberg/randompics/wdf1-12-06/mtc+cusa.jpg

All in all, a good day.

Casino Games (SMS, complete) - $3

Kind of a funny story here. I've been to every pawn shop, thrift store, Goodwill and Salvation Army in this town (which is probably more than a town of 15k should be allowed to have. I swear, there's more thrifts here than the whole Tri-County Area combined, I bet), and I've only seen a Master System game in the wild once, and it was loose and common. Guess what?

I went to one of the thrift stores today, and I found this game in the VHS section. Which doesn't surprise me, since the Master System cases look like VHS clamshell. What does surprise is the condition of this game. Complete and minty, and the box even had the hang-tab still on it.

So, what's the moral of this story? I dunno. Check your video sections, I guess.

All the fronts are flawless, but that white label that they put on the back that says "NOT FOR RESALE, DEMO GPK ONLY, Property Of Nintendo", all of them have the "DEMO GPK, Property Of Nintendo" marked through. You can still read right through it pretty easily, and for some reason they left the "NOT FOR RESALE" part totally readable

So anyway I met this guy though a friend of mine, he asked me if I wanted to buy this atari like system connected to a tv. I really had no idea what he was talking about a first, didnt cross my mind. He said if I had 20 bucks on me it was ALL mine. Sounded like a good deal allready. Brings it to my place, Find out its a Vectrex with 18 games, both paddles, and all the face plates. Nearly keeled over but now I am a proud owner of a Vectrex at a 3rd of the cost!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v92/oniudra/Vectrex.jpg

here are the games listed in no particular order

Polar Rascue
Pole Position
Star Trek
Space Wars
Heads Up
Solar Quest
Scramble
Art Master
Melody Master
Fortress of Narzod
Web Wars
Starhawk
Spinball
Bedlam
Cosmic Chasm
Star Castle
Berzerk
Armor Attack

Now its funny because I have face plates for Blitz and Clean Sweep and I know this guy has to have the art pen somewhere but he has no idea where any of it is... keeping my fingers crossed.

At the downtown EB's 2 for $AUS50 sale here, I picked up PS2 Cold Winter and The X Files Resist or Serve.

Cold Winter was $99 originally, still had the "trade 2 games and get this for $60" sticker on it, and then the 2 for $50 sticker - and get this, there was a used copy a shelf down from it, and it was marked at $AUS60.

Np at all. The funny part about it, is similar to most 2 in 1 carts, you have to reset the game in order to play Harmony or Aria.

Yet, you get the same 3 game save slots for both titles. I wonder how they did that with just one cart?

Yet it's like the cart label itself is pretty blunt heh, just states "Castlevania Double Pack" and the booklet it comes with is just one thick booklet for Aria of Sorrow. Yet if you turn it upside down and look on the back......or "invert castle" style....it's the Harmony manual
