View Full Version : Chat between Xbox360 and Xbox, Can it be done?

My friend and I were trying this and it would not work. He has an Xbox and I have an Xbox360. We cannot get the Chat feature to work between the two. Is this option compatible between the Xbox and the 360? We can hear eachothers voice messages, but not being able to chat sucks. Any help would be great. Thank you!

No, its just between 360's and not in XBox games at all, so even if you have 2 360's you can't do it in Halo 2. X-Box 1 games just dont suppot it.

I thought that we did not have to be playing games though. It says that you can chat while watching DVD's and not playing eachother in a game through the Chat Feature.

Only 360 to 360. You can't do it with the xbox 1 games or with the xbox 1 and the 360.

Thanks! That sucks because I am the only one with a 360 out of my friends and I do not want to use my old Xbox for Live (especially because I gave it to my kids to use now). Oh well! I guess the phone will have to do! Thanks!
