I just found these ads on Google video. They were as catchy as yellow fever! How could the saturn fail so miserably with these? Check them out.

lol
Yes, I saw the ad for his game, yet it must be nearly impossible to find (big bucks on ebay), and I currently don't have a modded or JPN Saturn.

As already mentioned, he is Kamen Rider One. Other things to his credit:
Father of Ryo Hazuki (voice)
Father of Arcade Gamer Fubuki (voice)
Segata appeared in Rent-A-Hero No. 1 as title character's gym teacher
All in all an awesome guy.

I looked up the game and its called Segata Sanshiro Shikenyugi. Play-asia sells it pre-owned for 54.90.... The game is basically a series of mini-games.
Sounds Awesome 8-)
Apparently this guy was major in Japan advertising Saturn and doing voice acting on the Dreamcast...

lmao at Segata just throwing those kids around for no reason.
And did SNK create the character Butt for MOTW off Segata?

The commercials are freaking out there, holy crap man. Anyway pretty funny although the early Genesis commercials in the US take the cake.

Saturn did pretty well in Japan, as far as I know.
And Segata Sanshiro definitely rocks!

These commercials are great. I wish televesion marketing in the US would take after Japan, instead of being a) celebrity whore-off, b) some one acting a fool and dancing around in an irrerelevant manner which has nothing to do with product, or finally c) flashes of boobs.

Exactly what I was going to say. Saturn wasn't an enormous hit in Japan, but it did well. Saturn actually did better than Genesis and DC in Japan. Who says you need the Japanese market to be a success? You paying attention Microsoft?

a.) Steven Segal wasn't the only one in Japan.
b.) Ever seen NEC ads for their old 8/16-bit computers? Just as irrelevant as US ones, and probably a little bit more so (women posing while wearing dated 80s fashions).
c.) I can't believe you don't like boobs. Everybody likes boobs. I'm a boob, too, but that's a different kind...

I looked up sales figures, and the Saturn sold around as many units as the N64, yet much less than Playstation. So, I apologize for my misconception.

Hey, anybody who takes the time to look up sales numbers is pretty awesome, no need to apologize, I think. :)
