Now that Nintendo is having a survey of how to best charge for their older games, I suppose we can rule out free classic games on their new system :)
I swear, if they try to charge more than $.50 to download a classic NES game, they're just sad.

Remember the "classics" releases on the GBA.
You probably should not expect them to be too cheap.
They should have something similar to gametap, where you pay a monthly subscription and play as much as you want. That way you don't have to waste diskspace, which the Rev won't have or if you want to cancel you can do so. I think they should also alow new developers to create games for the old emulators. Damn it I need Earthbound for the NES as well.

Frankly, they should be FREE. I know that's quite a concept, but come on. I'm personally not going to be paying anything for any classic game on the thing unless it's like 5-6 games (dragon warriors, final fantasys, zeldas, marios) that will permanently stay on there, and even then only if they're around $1 each.
This COULD have been a huge selling point to the revolution IMO. But once they start charging $5 to download SMB3 it loses ALL benefits.

There's no way they will be free. They can easily charge a couple of bucks for 'em and make *oodles* of cash. You might not be willing to pay but there will be lots of others that will - as is evidenced by the sales of every retro compilation ever sold. Who wouldn't pay, say, $1.99 a game and get the option to buy however many you wanted, as opposed to being forced to take the compilation being pushed at you (and we all know how we gripe that it's missing this or that)?
I think it's a smart move by Nintendo that could pay off *big time*

I know somebody said only Nintendo games are on the list they offered at first, but Sin and Punishment is one of the games listed...I guess that means Nintendo already had a deal. Maybe we can expect Mischief Makers, as well.
