I've been playing Metroid Prime 2 the last few days and I love how I can use the map as almost a strategy guide for the gameplay. I also love the 2D Castlevania games which also utilize the map as an integral part of the game. Can someone please recommend me some other adventure games where the map plays a key role in the gameplay?

Hmm, how about the Dark Cloud games for PS2? I've only played the 1st one, but it played like a cross between Zelda and Diablo. The dungeons are randomly generated, if I'm not mistaken.
And hell, while you're at it, try out Diablo too. ;-)

I should've mentioned I'm only looking for console suggestions as my PC is way outdated. System Shock is PC-only, right?

System Shock is PC, yes, but is also rather old. Your "outdated" PC is probably just fine.

Yea, you're right as I just noticed it's release date is around 1994. I'll have to give it a try, thanks.
