How much of an increase in value has your game be granted?

And for that matter what price list do you trust to be the closest to the truth?

For Me I have two Ogre Battle 64's (One sealed and one unsealed so i could play it) that have both doubled from the original 50$ This also happened in under a 2 month span.

My Chrono Trigger has yet to increase from its 50$ point but I still see some for 60$

Mcvans Videogames prices are not a true reflection of video game worth. They are only a reflection of what they want to sell it for. They are hoping for someone who has been looking for the game for so long and haven't done there research buys it at there price. If someone offers you 100.00 for ogre battle take it.

That is like a store selling drake of the 99 dragons for 5.99 is drake worth it no. maybe 99 cents with a free demo.

Or it you want to see for youself put it on ebay with 100.00 buy it now. The sealed might go to a collector.

I have more than one game. Can I still participate?

Also, I need to know the name of the fairy godmother that has been granting price increases.

Thanks

MOTHER!!!!

Still it was supposed to be repriced that day so I guess it was a deal.

Also that day we looked up the ebay ogrebattle 64 on their computers for 124.67 like 6 bids and like 1 day left.

I dunno I'm from Indiana and I've never seen this game sealed before.

MOTHER!!!

Where the frik are u kids finding these games for so cheap.
Rarely do I see a game sell for what Digit Press says it should be sold for.

I still check out that list but I still find it somewhat flawed

Keep in mind that people go crazy on eBay...and also keep in mind that the rarity guide price is for a complete copy (I've always wondered if that's supposed to be "average condition" or "like new") and that can be a mere fraction of the price of a factory sealed title. So your sealed OB is probably worth a good bit still. The regular one, despite the game's status as an R5 in a well respected series, is just $22. Oh well.

Man in Indiana video game classic prices have inflated so much.

What stores do you guys goto.

I've mainly visited Mcvans, Eb, and my favorite would be classmates.

I love buying from classmates because you can bundle in games so when they sell say mario kart, donkey series, megaman 7 and others for 5 dollars each they see that they are getting some 35 dollars for like 6 games.

But man, somtimes Mcvans matches exactly what DigitPress says and others it's way off.

How does Digit Press get it's prices?

I was actually answering fishsandwich's question about the fairy godmother :D

I like the information, though - thanks!

For my part, I think I may have once bought something online from them...but I'll have to check (later) to be sure.

No such thing as a accurate price guide in the video game market IMO, almost impossible. Just go by the Rarity and pay what your willing to pay and leave it at that.

Supply & Demand controls it all, I've seen Pre-8bit commons go throught the roof, while $100+ 16/32bit stuff drop off hard and then sore back up on month to month basis.

Ebay's high because of the Fee's at both ends(ebay/Paypal) and shipping just went up this week at the post office :/

McVan's is a cool store (I shop at the one in Fisher's Indiana when I'm over there). Yeah, their prices on "collectible" games tend to be a bit out in the stratosphere (ask about the sealed 32X games sometime). But they do have some good deals on their more obscure Game Boy games, so I'll shop there whenever I can.

Games are only worth whatever you feel they are worth, or whatever someone is willing to give you at the time you want to sell or trade it :)
