You made two threads so I will respond in here. I'm assuming pc so how about 1942: Pacific Air War.

Its old but its good. Heroes of the Pacific is alright for a modern area game on the xbox.

Edit: I missed the online part of your post, you may want to check here http://www.totalsims.com/. Fighter Ace isnt bad either.

I've been looking at "Fighter Ace" & it's pretty spiffy, but what I'm looking for, really, is a beautiful flatshaded 3D polygonal World War II flight simulator -- ala "A-10 Attack!" [graphics wise] -- ....

.... that's still played online [despite more contemporary games being available] -- and doesn't need a 3D card.

Like "Red Baron 3D", for example.
Classic .... polygonal 3D -- with a touch of texturing .... no 3D card's needed ....
It's just the wrong war. lol
