Here's the DP angle on this event:
http://www.digitpress.com/images/necg/
The only thing I have to add, on a serious note, is that the gang who are on these forums electronically that I had the pleasure to meet in Mass last night are all top-notch people. You'll rarely hear me say that, because I think, in general, people suck and it's commonly awkward to deal with them.
Not so with this crew.
Also BIG THANKS to the host, Christian Scott. We appreciate you having us up there, we had an awesome time!
EDIT: DON'T MISS the OFFICIAL coverage by the NECG crew, specifically Scott "ClubNinja" Bertulli, RIGHT HERE:

Maybe unresolved deals with those last two. Who can tell since they seem to be missing today =)

Nope, no trades with DP, though I wanted a bunch of stuff that he brought. I came away with:
7 (mostly common) DC games, 6 sealed: ChuChu, Death Crimson, ECW HR, EGG, NFL Qb Club 2001, Sega Marine Fishing, Worms Armageddon
A DC wheel/pedals new by Madcatz
DC fishing rod new

Sealed 2600 games: Pole Position, Galaxian, Joust, Missile Command, Ms. PacMan, DigDug
Now that I look, I did get a copy of Half-Life DC and NesterDC from DP; both very sweet.
Good show, look foward to the next. And damn, there were a lot of people there.

Actually Raedon, the plan was to have Property of H 96 drop "accidentally" drop a box full of harware on his head. There's always next time....
Sorry, klimatron8, but I don't remember who you are. Did we meet last night?
And who is Kevin flipping off in this pic?!?! http://www.digitpress.com/images/necg/necg008.jpg

Thanks for posting the lovely pictures, Joe! I'd like to send it right back at ya, that whole stand-up guy thing. Was a pleasure meeting all of you kids.
So anyway, not to be outdone, the OFFICIAL coverage is floating around in its own thread - seek it out now! It may even be stickied soon, if Joe is willing to share ; )

woohoo, tons of fun was had. i was zipping here and there, with uncommon zest for a pot-bellied ex-smoker. Prolly all that Red Stripe I inhaled. Had tons of fun meeting 3(!) Scotts, 4 if you count Christian Scott, Keir, and many other non-DPers whom I got to meet by first name. Chatted with Joe Grand (of SCSIcide fame) for a bit. Thanks again to John and Joe for the ride there, and to CS for hosting such a great shindig at his domicile. He's got a badass cocktail table. The Pac-Man cookies were the bomb! I traded with Club Ninja (Scott), CGE2K (John), Keir, and Joe. Walked (staggered) out with:
4 Gig hard drive
Zaxxon, Space Panic, Venture, Popeye, Donkey Kong for CV
Street Fighter Alpha for Saturn mint
GBA 4-player link cable
See you guys at the next gathering!
Oops, almost forgot, I also got Toki: Going Ape Spit for the genesis. Thanks Kier!

Oops you musta missed a post or two Raedon - Adrienne isn't really my sister. That was a ploy to keep CMTZ's grubby mitts off of her. She's a cutie though, great to talk games with. I even got to see her tattoos, another of the day's highlights :-D

Now that I've seen the OFFICIAL coverage (see edited original post), a few more comments.
I forgot about the jello shots and the Pac-Man cookies. Those were AWESOME.
Though I'm not specifically credited, you're welcome. This for being the person who introduced Digital'Cam Over Head (D'OH) technology (tm) to your group.
I didn't know Christian licked the nose of my Mario mask. I shall now proceed to burn it.
I hope Tetsu grabbed something from that blue bin BEFORE "Property of H6" shoved it off the table.
I really need to shave.
That is all. Thanks for the pics!

It was great to meet many of you and to see the familiar NECG faces again. I made a couple trades, but having a box full of commons for trade did not get me far with this group. Also, next time, I need to remember to eat food before arriving. The Pac Man cookies weren't enough for dinner and did not do enough to balance the powers of the Pabst and Cherry Coke jello shots...

What happened with our DC Light Gun trade? If you still want it, let me know. I think I just forgot to follow up with you before we left!

I spaced on that at the end also. I blame on the liquor, not my memory... Yeah, my gun broke a while ago, so, now, when playing House of the Dead, I'll just make shooting noises while my finger is pointed at the screen and see if anything happens.

Thank you to everyone who made it over and made this the best and biggest NECG meet ever, i know i also speak for clubninja when i say we were amazed by the turnout and good times that followed. we had many firsts, our first meeting to break 20 attendees, i think we actually broke 30! our first meet to feature female gamers, not one, not two but five, not sure what that means but it surely was a change for the better. the first time DP people outnumbered atariage people, which i'm sure was due to joe's cult like following. we've never had people attend from as far away as NJ/NY before and we have never seen tradebait on the level of john hardy's. this was also the drunkest meet ever which made for some memorable and blurry moments for all involved/intoxicated (note: property of H was sober).
the day started out a bit slow and akward as i juggled set up, early arrivals, last minute directions and a fussy baby but it hit its stride shortly after 4pm when gamers came hopping across the snow bearing boxes of joy. thanks to aforementioned massive trade pile from john hardy space was at a premium, there were so many boxes i couldnt even get to them all, although that had something to with the narrow space-wide gamer situation. it was one of those nights i wish could have split myself in two to keep on top of all the goings on, instead i just loaded up on the rolling rock and let it roll. it seemed like somebody popped in every five minutes for the first few hours and maybe they did, i wish i had the chance to get to meet everyone but i know i missed a few.
everyone has noted what a diverse crowd we had, shattering the stereotypical gamer profile on some levels and reinforcing it on others, a few of our regs noted the "raver" look of the new blood but its all good. turns out a few of them live right here in my neighborhood, you can never have too many drinking/gaming buddies around. as you can see from the pictures the trading was also diverse and nothing was off limits, seriously people this sure beats working out an email/postal trade. wintertime really limits the finds in the wild for new englanders and i know everyone was thrilled to get a massive infusion of warm software. you guys gotta see the awesome drunken pac man shirts our resident graphic designer doug made for us, hopefully they will turn up in some one's coverage.
despite getting my butt kicked in warlords i consider the night a great success, sure it was chaotic and somethings got knocked over, nothing broken or missing here and i had the assistance of a drunken toddst in cleaning up. i've got a big stack of new games, everything from channel F #12 to DC halflife, not to mention 17 left over beers, 15 diet caffine free pepsi cans (john hardy?), a bottle of passion fruit high proof stuff, 7 jello shots and a big bag of tostidos. i'm also over the moon about meeting so many good folks, i always enjoy it when a screen name comes to life, they dont make mulitplayer games for nothing you know. one things for certain, we're going to do it again! stayed tuned for news on our june super meet, you just have to make it to that one.

Heh. Sorry to glom all your trade table space bro. I always like to travel large when visiting new people. :)
This was a great event and everyone was really cool. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Some great deals to be had. Hope to see everyone in Philly and/or Vegas.
There were many highlights for the night. One of my favorites... "Property of H" was yelling out which carts he had for trade. He asks if anyone is interested in an very rare karate cart. Being the jokemeister I am, I asked "Ultravision?" . I was met with a blank stare. Nothing, not even a smirk. Oh well. I guess I need to get some new material.
Take care and thanks again to everyone involved.

I had lots of fun showing up to NECG after a few trains mishaps early morning. It was very nice to meet everyone outside the boards and see how their online persona's matched up with their IRL ones. There was definately wackiness throughout the night, and I think I may have gotten shoved out of the way of a box I was looking into by "Property of H" on more than one occasion >:( . A very big thanks to ChristianScott for hosting us all and also to John Hardie for picking Tetsu and I up from the station and driving us out there.
@DP: I think I may have missed the thread also. It was fun while it lasted though.
@Maxlords: I declined the offer I think. I'm a behind the camera girl, not in front of.
Sega Netlink
Genesis Batter Up! Controller
Lynx Battery Pack

The way you played along so well with the "sister" scam and actually considering the DP model job proved to me just how much GAME you've got, "sista"!
