Has anyone else noticed that the new backlit GBA SP blurs a lot more than the old model? I just bought Metroid (the classic NES version), and it seems to blur quite bad against the black background. I've noticed this with other games as well.
Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think the brighter, crisper screen is a good tradeoff for blurring?
What are your thoughts?

Yeah I noticed this myself with Mario Advance. I read an article about this happening before I bought the new SP actually so I knew it was going to happen. Appartently the technology they are using is the same in the Gameboy Micro so it was developed for a smaller screen. Because the SP has a bigger screen for some reason you get a blurred effect. IGN.com had an article about it. Actually the article is right here.

I've noticed it in a couple titles but its so slight that it doesn't bother me.

The blurring has to do with the sharper screen's lower refresh rate. As a comparison, the PSP is actually even worse in this dept. I was aware of it too and unfettered. You want blur, try an original GB, GG or Nomad. Headache inducing.

Meh, I hadn't even noticed until you mentioned it. But now that I know, it'll probably drive me crazy. LOL

I haven't really noticed it. What games are you guys playing, where you have a problem?

Its not a problem in any game I've encountered, but it's noticable if your looking for it in any game.
Still the best screen I've ever seen for any portable yet (Talking about the SP v2).

I haven't noticed any blurring, but then again I haven't played the original SP or regular Advance to see if there is a difference.
