So this is the basic brown atari 2600.. with the 6 switches.
I put in a game.. any game.. and the screen comes up. But I can't control anything. I've tryed several working controllers in both slots.. Also I don't hear any sound,.. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to, because I haven't played these games in a while... Anyway that's the problem. I have the system completely dissassembled and I cleaned it up a bit.. but I really don't know what I'm looking at.
I'm using an AC adaptor that I found.. It's not the original Atari model, but I didn't think that would cause the problem. I don't know. Any ideas?
EDIT: I just realized it's only 2 player games that won't work. It's not the control ports or the controllers that won't work, because you can play some 1 player games from the right controller port. What is up with this?
