First, I wanted to say hello. I've been a lurker for a long time but decided to officially join today because I wanted some advice from people who actually know something about this, unlike myself.

I'm new to this collecting game. I was offered a chance to purchase some Atari 2600 games but I'm not entirely sure if it would be worth it.

I have the opportunity to purchase a lot (US versions) with games like:
The Earth Dies Screaming
Adventures of Tron
Subterranea
Radar Lock
Star Wars the Arcade Game

Then there are other games also but these are the ones I'm not sure of. Do you think these games are worth $100. I'm just trying to get an idea of what a fair price would be.

Thanks, Brette

Well they are all 2600 and they come with boxes and manuals. Is that what you meant?

I guess it depends on if it is worth $100 of fun for you or if you want rarities like Star Wars The Arcade Game for their rarity.

Personally, I don't think those games alone are $100 worth of fun, though they are ok games. Of course, 99% of my 500 something 2600 games were bought for less than 3 dollars, with almost every one under a dollar, so I find it hard to justify high prices for almost every VCS game, with rare exceptions.

Thanks Rob, that's exactly what I was thinking. I'm new at this so it's not like I have to have them to finish a collection. I just wasn't sure if it's something I should get now since it's readily available or just wait. If the prices are on the high side then I think I'll take my chances and pass.
