Updated photos of the store and the first tournament I've run there - Tekken 4, a 16-player single elimination round robin.

The tournament went very smoothly, the kids were really into it. The place was LOUD and upbeat. If it continues this way I'll hold a tournament every two weeks. I'll have my computer gaming network set up by mid-February so some of the tourneys will happen there as well.
PS don't forget - the return of NAVA is NEXT WEEKEND, so bring your trade boxes!

Congrats! It looked like a good turn out. Also that was a cool write up in the paper. Was that story in the "main" newspaper in your area? Or was it more of a local thing?

Looks like a good time was had by all. Nice way to build a local base. So what were the prizes, and how did those young'uns react to that awesome Atari jacket? Confusion, or reverential awe for "the old school"?

Holy man. The place looks like a million bucks! Looks like everybody had an awesome time. I wonder how long of a drive it is from Ottawa to New Jersey?

Good lord!
What a great-looking store!
If I ever make my way back to the Northeast, I'll be sure to come visit the place and give you plenty of business.
I will not give you plenty of THE business, though. That would be rude.

Your store is the best looking video game store I've ever seen. I especially like it because you've dedicated just as much of the store to classic gaming as you have modern gaming, maybe even more! Most video game stores try to make you forget there even are classic games. I wish I lived in New Jersery...I'd be shopping at your store instead of GameCrazy and GameStop.
It's been a dream of mine to open my own video game store someday, and seeing your store gives me lots of inspiration. :)

I have something like that in town, but they are bunch of rip-offs! The last draw was for Castlevania - Bloodlines for the Genesis (cart only), $18!!! I purchase the game because I was in the hurry. I really don't want to return to the place never again! It sucks because the store has a huge selection of VCS, SNES, NES, Genesis, and Game Boy titles. :(
Nice store DP, keep up the good work.
Oh yeah, does your store has a huge selection of Genesis games?

It was in one of the two main newspapers in North Jersey.

There was a mix of odd looks, respect, and outright laughter. Pretty much what you'd expect in just about any crowd, really :)

Somewhere my parents have a picture of me as a kid wearing my old Atari jacket like that and riding the mini-bike we had. I think I had the motorcycle helmet on and everything LOL
