Well, the title pretty much sums it up...i'm not into it myself because i totally have no clue about electricity or technology so i'd probably mess it up and i don't want that offcourse LOL

But i do think it's awesome to see modified consoles, controllers and such so if anyone does that kinda stuff, show some pictures !

( the topic about the bleu ps2 controller was what brought me on the idea of starting a seperate topic about it)

Or if you know some sites about modding etc, that's also welcome offcourse....hell,even cool looking sticker sets are welcome, the only decend site i know that sells that is www.decalgirl.com

They have this sticker set that makes your cube look like a NES, it even says " retrocube entertainment system" on the front, now that's what i'm talking about, i'm thinking about buying such a set , but then again....i know there are other cool ones as well so i'm gonna loo karound a bit longer first :)

Ok,enough talking, let the pictures come !

For the most part I want to keep the console looking "official", so I don't like case mods. However, I do have a Playstation painted black, with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon cover (the prisim/rainbow thing) painted over it. Now I want a cheap/defective playstation so I can replace the case with the "real" one, and keep the painted one somwhere eise.

Yeah same with me, I want the look it came with.

If a system is rare or particulalry expensive, I tend to have qualms about modding it....I just hate to alter an item from it's original condition. Sometimes it just doesn't feel right. However, if the system is pretty common and/or cheap, I don't mind getting a second copy of it and messing around with it. Adding extra functions or defeating lockouts, and all manner of things can certainly make gaming more enjoyable. I'm not big on cosmetic mods, but I've seen some that were very cool. Of course, BenHeck is the master of those.

I thought this topic may be about computer case modding. That is somthing I dabbled with. My server and workstaion have window cases and neon inside.

I did modify my Atari 2600 for direct video and audio out. I know a few of us tear consoles apart for better performance. I though about putting a window and blue neon in the Atari, but that's a project for another day.

If you do this, please post pics. I would love to see that.

My friend painted a Dreamcast with Beat from Jet Grind Radio airbrushed on to it. It looked pretty nice. Unfortunately, I lost the pics of the system.
