Brief version:

CHANGE
- "Mahoutaisakuikusa" to "Mahou Daisakusen," add genre info (shooter), change manufacturer (from EA Victor to Electronic Arts).
- Legends of Valour: the game comes with a map, add to description.

ADD
- "Kiwame II," genre: shougi, mfr: "LOG"
- "Return to Zork," genre: Adventure, mfr: "Data West"
- "Sim City 2000," genre: Resource Management/Simulation, mfr: "Fujitsu"
- "Tom Snyder's Puppy Love 2," genre: RPG (?), mfr: "Fujitsu," comments: Probably a port of a very obscure Macintosh/Amiga title.

Uncertain:
- Advantage Tennis: manufactured by Fujitsu, not Infrogrames?

-------------- explanations
"Mahoutaisakuikusa (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=19082)" is presumably "Mahou Daisakusen," and DP is the only place (according to Google) you can find the title romanized that way.

Mahou Daisakusen is an interesting vertical shooter from Raizing (no idea how the FM Towns treats it) released in 1993. The sequel, Shippu - etc. was released the year afterwards. You can find this game in MAME.

dream-stars-japan (http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-MAHOU-DAISAKUSEN-FM-TOWNS-JP_W0QQitemZ8231307283QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) has this game in stock, and while the price is VERY high it seems to me that they try to be at least a bit reserved with their price, so this $250 price can be taken as a sign that the game is damn rare.

Yes, I know that Victor/EA published some games (i.e. 4D Boxing), but this isn't one of them, apparently. It has the regular Electronic Arts logo (like Cotton on x68000), and the seller is listing it as Raizing/EA. Likely they had it as Vic/EA last time, but in any case, this seems to be correct.

Next up, Kiwame II (http://cgi.ebay.com/KIWAME-II-FM-TOWNS-Marty-JP_W0QQitemZ8248885750QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem), the thrilling sequel to...Kiwame! It is another shougi game.

Sim City 2000 (http://cgi.ebay.com/SIM-CITY-2000-FM-TOWNS-JP_W0QQitemZ8246299605QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Uncertain about Advantage Tennis (http://cgi.ebay.com/ADVANTAGE-TENNIS-FM-TOWNS-JP_W0QQitemZ8246299998QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

Return to Zork (http://cgi.ebay.com/RETURN-TO-ZORK-FM-TOWNS-JP_W0QQitemZ8248882911QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

Tom Snyder's Puppy Love 2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Tom-Snyders-Puppy-Love-2-FM-TOWNS-Marty-JP_W0QQitemZ8248883886QQcategoryZ4315QQssPageNameZ WD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). This one takes some explaining. I found a thread on Macintosh Garden talking about the original (http://mac.the-underdogs.org/index.php?show=game&id=846) game, and I found a thread elsewhere talking about an Amiga version. If this is like its prequel, the original Puppy Love, the object of the game is to get your dog to perform tricks, and treats are used to help encourage him. I'll try to contact Tim Snyder productions to get the skinny.

Okay, I've got to turn in. That's all for now.

I had always wondered about that, since Dream Star's x68000 prices seem really high.

DP himself (Joe) did most of the legwork for the list, and that was the only source available for games. :(

Maybe this means I can grab some FM Towns now for decent prices O_O
