Oh you're not one of "Those" are you? Bit's no longer tell you the generation, they haven't since the 16-bit days. THat Aside it's 7th Gen.

And if you did just want to know if it was 64 vs. 32 then Hawk was right.

For anyone that still doesn't believe that the CPU word size has almost no effect on the quality of the game machine, consider this: the Intellivision uses a 16-bit CPU. (http://www.intellivisionlives.com/bluesky/hardware/intelli_tech.html)

Boy, I can't wait to see how it handles Metal Slug, since the Neo Geo is 16-bit too. ;-)

64 bit cpu why ?

but it has three cores, so it's really a 192 bit machine, unless you also count the graphics hardware, and then you're at like 448bits or something. It's like the Jaguar, man. DO THE MATH!

Hah, the bitwars of the 90s were funny.

you don't count bits like that, the cpu's bit don't add. With your logic, the main core or PS3's CELL is 64 bit but it has 7 SPE's with 32 bits and again 2 128 bit video cards... 2 128 bit gpus don't addup to make one 256bit gpu

I'm pretty sure he was just being sarcastic.

Sigh...I love customers who come into work telling me about the hot new bit consoles coming out:

"DAMN dawwwg, pretty soon da 256 bit monstas gun be coming out, that'd be phat!"

I thought the "DO THE MATH" was obvious enough, but I guess next time I'll just post one of these images along with it:

and really, since it's a meaningless measure of a system's power, I can add them anyway I want. That's how I have my 24bit Neo Geo (lol) and 64bit Saturn! It's awesome!

Don't forget about the 24 bit Turbo Grafx.
