wow is that 800 individual titles?

Damn near 850, with around 80 lists to consider.

I doubt it will be weeks, but I won't give any timetable at the moment, in case we end up overshooting it :)

Take your time - we all really appreciate you doing this.

Hopefully you're using Excel to tabulate all this...if you need help with raw data entry, let us know - or if you want us to resubmit our lists in excel / CSV format or something...whatever will help you get it out sooner.

wow, I guess we here at DP really have different/obscure taste. that is a lot of different titles for only 80 people. it will be interesting to see how this system will work out since a game could apear on only few peoples list near the top and make the list where a game that appears on everyones list near the bottom could miss out.

Well, given thats 80 people naming 25 of their favourite games. And here at DP there are people who have been playing games ever since they first appeared onwards and so pretty much every one of those 80 people probably have come into gaming in completely different ways so experienced completely different games along the way that they are going to put in their list. Especially as 25 is quite a lot to put it and people are going to put in more wierd ones in the bottom of the list especially because they have some personal meaning and want them included

Wow. That's going to be quite a list to browse. I wonder how many of those games I'll even recognize. I expect a write-up of each and every one. And we all get to yell at you if you don't do our personal faves the justice we think they deserve.

I actually posted my list in my blog, and I garantee only a scant few of those titles will make the list ;)

It'll be interesting to see how much it's geared towards classics or modern titles, and to see which generation of games is most represented. 800 titles across 80 people isn't bad though, I would have expected it to be about 20 games per person, but 10 per isn't bad. Should have an excellent cross section of tastes and genuinely highly rated titles.

Just.... to keep you on the edge of your seats here... heh.

Anyhow, the votes have been double counted and we've got a final list. In the end there are 795 games present. We're just doing some writeups, how long that takes, well we'll see, but I'm sure you'll keep waiting until it's ready ;)

the writeups are taking longer than expected. This is the first time we've tried this, so a few glitches here and there are showing their ugly heads. I apologize for the delay but this will get done, no fear. We're not programming Duke Nukem Forever here :D

Nope, I'm afraid not. From what I hear, the biggest problems so far are memory issues, processor glitches, an OS that keeps crashing, and generaly a poor design. It's been pushed back to sometime in 07 which oddly enough is the release date of the PS3. I must admit, once this "game" is released, I question the play value. Eh, it's sony so it has to be good.

Sadly we overworked some of the hamsters on the dynamos, and are having to currently source replacements. Apologises for interruption in your service. This also affected us as we had no light to scribble our pen and inkwell onto papyrus at night, and we'd run out of candles.

you can start burning your clothes - for light

and get a human to spin the dynamos - set it up so that your light source gets closer to the guy spining the wheel the slower he gets

straight up. how about pink bikinis AND fishnets. I am a fan of just the bikini, but I am a fan of the fishnet without the bikini too X_x now that is some good stuff. (pic is in my personal collection ;) ).

actually the pink bikini is lingerie from victoria secret (i paid for it :D :D :D :D ). the bottom is a thong. its pretty hot.

as for the dynamos, you should think of upgrading to a wankel rotary. low torque, but revs like a bullet bike and weighs under 200lbs. dinosaurs never get tired!

Last I knew, we were talking about internet stock options that suppliment income and how great it is to be a co-owner of a company that has 0% phisical merchandise on the market, yet holds 60% of the market's curent value.

Wait, that was what I was talking about. No, I think we were trying to uncover the sexual habits of the Inca's and the coalation between Egypt of the biblical era in conection to the high cost of tuna on the west coast.

Isnt it amazing what a fever can do?

You too? Had a bizarre flu of some kind... no stomach problems but a high fever and REALLY bad aches all throughout my torso.

Let's talk about being sick!

Had a case of Rodavirus back in January that put me, my wife, AND my son in the emergency room all on the same day.

what is the write up -- are you guys writeing the life story of the games?

i can help with one

Super mario bros. (SMB) NES - SMB was born in 1972 in the city of Sagamihara to a (unknown console name) horrendesly drug addicted mother who performed the birth her self in the basement level hallway of a tenement building. Father console is unknown. He was sold for one nights worth of drug. The purchaser was soon shot afterwards by a rival triad member in another alleyway not far from his birth place.

The flegeing cart was left lying there in the rain next to the dead hand that formaly carried him. Dazed and hungry he draged himself under some cover.

The cart grew up surviving on the dirty back streets of japan. Forced to live on scrapings in garbage cans and instinct alone. As he traveld from city to city he learned impotant life lesons along with the workings of the japanese sewer system. One night in the 1980s he was traveling in Kyoto and was attacked by 3 street thugs for the food and little bit of money he was carying. He was left beaten, tired, and hungry next to a soiled panty vending machine in the back alley of an "adult book store". To his luck a mr. miyamoto came by to make a purchase at the vending machine and saw the dirty beat up cart lying there at his left foot. Feelign sorry for it -he picked up SMB and placed him into the same bag he placed his fresh pair of soiled panites he aquired moments before.

Mr. miyamoto nursed SMB into good health. Together they had alot of fun hopping on objects around his apartment until one day in a fit of joy mr. miyamoto told SMB " you know what, im going to make you a star" and the rest of the story we all know

Writeups are some words about the game, and then a personal note about each one from the writer in question. Some anecdote, interesting info or funny.
