Just been through a good few days of constant work for 2 exams and a big report and have had pretty much no sleep. Was planning to reward myself (before starting revision for next exam) with a new DS/GBA game and this was my choice if I had nothing left as they have loads of brand new copies in the shop for only £12.99. Anyway, at the till it came up in the sale so only £9.98. Bonus.

Lately at my place of work (Insert Name of Large Game Store Here) we've been getting lots of shipments of "nused" games - games that are basically new, but don't sell anymore, so they take it out of the shrinkwrap and sell it as used. Since I'm responsible for shipments on most days, I try to get one copy of every nused game that comes in, and buy them all at once on the first day of the week. That said, this week's nused games:

Echo Night: Beyond - $8.50
Fighter Maker 2 - $8.50
Sega Classics Collection - $11
Kya: Dark Lineage - $8.50

Maybe not the best games in the world, but they're in pristine condition, and games like Echo Night will probably end up rare.

I haven't posted here since October. I've acquired about 70 games since then, which is a huge amount to me.

I went to Gamestation and they had a 99p bin, so I rummaged around and found a loose Ultraman cartridge for the SNES which was marked at £11. I thought I'd take advantage of the price and nab it. It's such a shit game. I think I'll trade it in at the other Gamestation and see how much I get, hopefully around £6, if they're selling it for £11.

I've got all sorts of N64 and SNES cartridges, and a few complete Master System games out of the 99p bin. They've got a huge amount of Master System and Megadrive cartridges, but for me they have to at least have a box.

Moving to this week, I traded in an old PC game and got £7 for it. I tried to trade in Medieval Lords, but they only offered 20p. It's a shit game, but I'm not going to give it away. I picked up Banjo Kazooie (N64, complete), B.O.B. (SNES, complete), Toy Story (Megadrive, complete) and Golden Axe (Master System, complete) for a total of £7 after the trade in.

So I headed back to school this week and well, spent way more on games than I should have. Blame it on EB clearing out the Dreamcast games, coupled with my newfound affinity for the system and a month away from the stores here. Anyway, I took advantage of the "Buy 3, Get 2 Free" sale for the following, all complete in rather nice condition:

Then I stopped at the local pawn and found a few goodies. Since everybody likes pictures and I finally got a digital camera for Xmas, here goes. And if they suck, well... beginner sucktitude.

I picked up 5 NES games for 20 bucks. Overpaid a little probably but Spiritual Warfare, Exodus, Tom Sawyer, Ikari Warriors II and F-15 City War took me to 415 NES total.

Then I found the better part of the haul. DC blue memory card, Slave Zero (only complete DC game there) and a minty fresh, dang near right off the shelf Mutant League Football. 10 bucks for those. MLF might not be rare, but it's one of my favorite sports games of all time.

Plus, it came with one of the coolest posters I've ever seen. :) The only thing that seems to be missing is one of the "collector cards". The box says it came with 2 and only one was in there.

There's been a copy of that sitting at the Gamestop here for at least six months. Sans manual, of course.

It turns up surprisingly often (at Gamestops in particular) for an R8. I've seen probably three copies on the same shop in the last year and a half...not a bad game at all, either.

Nothing new for me, myself -- missed a reasonably nice (but not super-great) deal on an NTSC Alien Soldier on eBay, it didn't get any bids...ah well, I need to save the cash I have, anyway. x_x
