Do all Sega 6 button Genny controllers have Turbo?

Do all of the Sega made 6 button controllers for Genesis have the Turbo and Slow motion things on them? For some reason, I don't remember that at all. Yet all the 6 button ones on Ebay seem to have Turbo and Slow motion. That has me wondering if they are really made by Sega.

Mine doesn't. It has a "Mode" button. that is all

Yeah, I thought there was something fishy about all these "Brand New" 6 button Sega Genny controllers on Ebay. I was going to buy one, but when I saw the Turbo and Slow mo switches on it, I flinched. Good thing I did. I knew that the standard Sega version of the 6 button controller doesn't feature those.

I think those are a later release controller.

The orginial 6-button only included a mode button along with the "Start".

Sega Genesis 3 controllers most likely from when Majesco rereleased the Genesis in the late 90's.

The Majesco 6 buttons, I got a pair of those...they act really odd when you try to play Golden Axe 2 (Just gotta remember to hold down MODE before you turn on the system) That way it goes into 3 button mode

You have to do that with any six-button controller, Majesco or not. Ms. Pac-Man and Forgotten Worlds are other games that require you hold down the MODE button.

And yes, as far as official Sega controllers go, I think the Majesco Genesis 3 controllers are the only ones with the turbo/slow switch on them. That's probably what you have, Anthony.

I don't have them. I almost made the mistake of buying them just now off of Ebay. I was trying to find a brand new Sega 6 button, but I wanted the original Sega version. The only ones I found on there have that turbo and slo mo switch, and just don't want that crap on there for some reason. I just want the original one.

i have 3 kinds

they all look and feel exactly the same

i have the one with only a mode button, 2 selector switch version (normal and turbo) , and a three selector switch version (normal , turbo, and slow)

while playing the games there is no diference between any of them -- i have never used the selector switches though - i always play with normal

also - i remember seeng all three versions at gamestops and funcolands -- i purchased the basic one and the 3 selector version at gamestops and the 2 selecter version on ebay
