NEED SOME STEEL BATTALION XBOX Advice

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you can give me your thoughts on Steel Battalion for the xbox. I know there are two versions of the game, one online one not, but over all how is this game? It got decent reviews but I was wondering if you had any personal experiences that you can share about the game. I have always been in to mech type games like Mech Warrior for PC and Mechassault for xbox and I think it would make the experience that more enjoyable to have a controller like the one the game comes with. its a great game, sadly though the ONLINE mode was killed last september or october, however, the offline mode is alive and well, just maksure you buy the game that comes with the controller, the one thats call line of contact, or something, you'll know its online and don't waste your money, because its dead online, I don't think it supported system link, but I am sure someone can clarify that. Now onto the game, it totally kicks ass, its a great in the cockpit mech game, that coupled with the controller is a great experience for any mech fan. If you like mechwarrior you'll wet yourself over this one.

WOW the online version severs have been shut down, that really really sucks. Any one know if you can hook this up via system link?? Also if you can is there like a co-op mode or something like co-op campaign or is it just death match??

the co-op mode was online, but I haven't played this with system link, and I can't test it because I have one and my friend has one sealed and he won't open it, but I am sure someone out there has tested and will come forward 8-)

Online Multiplayer is now offline but it has system link so you could play it over XBOX connect: http://xbconnect.com/

So I say find a box controller and original game on EBAY and also buy Line of Contact.

Currently there are 4 copies in stock at ebgames.com (mine shipped today!) Use codes pplay15, your edge card, and saver to get it down to 96.xx shipped before tax. Thats probably your cheapest option in buying it since if I remember right ebay usually goes for 150 with shipping. Its nice to have ebgames absorb shipping costs for this huge item, I just hope mine isn't a pos when it gets here. But, if all else fails I can return to my local ebgames.

Thanks for the EB info it wasn't there a couple days ago when I bid on one on ebay which I won for 130. I bought another one from EB though, I will do system link for a while with a friend then sell it in a few years and maybe make a profit.

LoC supports 720p so if you have HDTV setup it'll be a treat!
Also if you can afford you can plug in TWO controller into a single XBox though I'm not sure that means you can play split-screen play on single XBox??? Anyone can comment on that?

I don't think the LOC online was shut down, just the online Campaign. Free Battle was still up last I heard, and I guess was the one everyone played anyway.
