Ok. So I've been looking for this game for many, many months. It's the last game I need for my US Saturn Collection.
Does anyone even have it? If so, can you provide pictures of it?
There have been a couple of ultimately false sightings of it out there and it's only been on eBay one time that I've caught without any pictures.
I tracked down a website some time ago that had a pic of it, but I can't confirm if it was authentic or not. It looked just like Daytona: CCE except with an additional black and white manual that, I suppose, contained instructions on how to get hooked up via the Netlink.
Any info would be very helpful for me.
Oh, and before anyone says anything, Sega-Parts does not have it in stock, they're just really, really slow to update their site.

Even when Sega Parts had it "in stock" it was just the Regular CCE...I ordered one from them and got it...no B&W manual or anything..and the disc was scuffed...needless to say I was a tad pissed.

I have that same B & W almost photoshopped looking picture.
It's funny, an issue of Collector's Closet ran with that being one of the hardest games to find for the system, but I swore up and down that I had never heard no seen it before. AS for the rarity being a 6, you HAVE to be kidding me. There are NO picstures of this on the web? I saw some screen shots somewhere, maybe it was only in testing? Someone here has to have it.

I own Daytona USA: C.C.E. Net Link Edition. The game comes with a B/W insert manual as seen here (http://www.consolecity.com/games.php/action-game_info/game_id-3753.html). BTW the image at that site was provide by me.
I originally ordered the game from Sega Directly (you could not buy this game at retail) so I have no idea why Sega Parts inventory would have been different.

I ordered it by telephone from Sega Parts just as the Saturn was dying. It does exist. As far as I can tell, it doesn't come with any other games, although mine is still sealed, so I guess it's possible.

Yep, it does exist, and it does not include other games on the disc - only Daytona Netlink.

That's different from the NetLink edition. You have the retail version; the NetLink edition was mail order only.

$200.00 are you serious!!! Not that I'm looking to sell, but is it really that rare of an item. If so, I'm glad I have mine!

I'm just sick of waiting around for one to show up on eBay. I'll trade some good stuff for it too!

Heh, DreamTR has to keep one upping me, my last high price was $175. :)
I won't go over $200 though, but I'd match it to get done with it.
And yeah, this game is pretty damn rare. Certainly a R8 at least unless someone turns up a pallet of them somewhere.
Thanks for sharing the pictures, espcially of the disc itself. Is the rear insert the same as the one for CCE?

Yes, the pictured "rear" manual (comes with the NetLink version) is the same as the retail released Daytona USA: C.C.E. Edition manual; down to its part number. Even on the spine of the game box the part number is that of Daytona USA: C.C.E. Edition. The back of the game box is identical to the Daytona USA: C.C.E. version too.
However, Daytona USA: C.C.E. Net Link Edition supplement manual has a part number of 81218.

I thought I’d post the attract screen to the Daytona CCE NetLink Edition since I unpacked my Saturn (whew… it still powered on and works!) for the first time in 5 plus years.

email me at ricdicdo@yahoo.com and I will send you pics of THIS rare game and tell you the story of HOW I finally got a copy of it, TO COMPLETE my Saturn Collection.
I just got the game within the last week.
The above was back in July 05.
Now knowing its rarity and infrequent showing up for sale and it going for $800 or more, I was very fortunate in hunting it down in 2005 when I did.
I have only popped open the case to look inside; I still have not played it.
Am almost scared to put in in the Saturn.
I just yesterday finished my Sega Daytona Collection.
Yesterday I purchased the last 2 versions I didn't have.
A like-new Daytona USA: Circuit Edition (Jap).
This edition has a few really cool additions. Instead of telling about it, check out this link below:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daytona_USA_Championship_Circuit_Edition
Also a like-new Daytona USA Deluxe (PC) version, another nice addition with some differences.
I hate PC Gaming; I can't stand the mouse keyboard crap.
There are a few pc games that you can conviently play, like Dungeon Seige; and yes there are some GREAT pc games, but I am not and never will be into ONLINE gaming or doing the Mouse Keyboard crap.
I have tried a half dozen times at least to seriously get into pc gaming; I am done with it FOREVER.
I might throw the DAYTONA USA DELUXE into the PC for a looksee, that's about it; I bought this version just for finishing my SEGA DAYTONA Collection; no other reason.
My Daytona USA Vid Game Collection:
Daytona USA - Saturn
Daytona USA CCE - Saturn
Daytona USA - Pal version
Daytona USA CCE Netlink Edition - Saturn
Daytona USA: Circuit Edition Jap version
Daytona USA Deluxe - PC version
Oh btw I am the crazy person who bought Daytona USA CCD Netlink version for 0ver $500 back in the summer of 2005.
2005 that was my game collecting coming of age year, a nice vintage, a very good year.
thanks, guys, for hearing me out,

Are you the crazy person who spent $500+ for this on ebay???
If not that is waht it recently sold for. The last one I saw (a couple of years ago) went for about half of that...
One of the two games I need for my collection and I think it will hve to go to the "Lotto List".

I don't think $500+ is crazy for this game now when it shows up once every 2-3 years.

I completely agree. There are lots of people who only need this one game to complete their Saturn collections and it hardly ever shows up for sale. There are a lot of people willing to pay quite a bit of money for a game like that and the ability to complete the collection.

Was aiming for funny, not critical. No it is a nice catch, though expensive. It is a tough one for me because it does have to other editions on the Saturn, unlike say Bounty Bob on the 5200...yet that has been released on other consoles...

I FINALLY got it 2 years ago and I had to pay for it. $509, new, but not sealed. It is beautiful seeing it up on my shelf and enclosed in a see thru heavy duty zippered bag for EXTRA protection.
Everything, case, disc, both manuals, etc. are all NEW mint condition. I have not played it; am scared to put it in my Saturn.
I have 8 or so different versions of Daytona in my collection.
I ain't rich but MAN I had to get it, 'cause a few days before I got it with BUY IT NOW, I had lost it in an auction on Ebay which I had last bidded at $420 or so.
Can you lan this game with the Sega Dreamcast Link cable only available from Japan? I'll have to track down a CD-R of it somewhere for testing purposes. I was able to get the hard to find Link cable. Still haven't tried playing any link games yet.

It's not a Dreamcast game, so, no.
