I got an Xbox Hardware Refresh Disk, and I don't know what it is, or what it does. Ok, obviously it "refreshes the hardware," but what does that mean?

Is it like the system disks you get with your computer, that erase the hard drive, and just reinstall the operating system? Or does it just restore drivers? Or does it defrag the hard drive? Who all got them, and how/what were they used for?

Obviously, I don't know anything. Anyone with information, your help would be appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: WHOOHOOO! 200th post!

Google and had two relevant links within 30 seconds, here you go:

http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Repairs/xbox_utility_disks.htm

http://assemblergames.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-7606.html

Kinda useless trivia. Basically, it makes an Xbox acceptable for resale.

Just to define it a bit better... It's a disc given to xbox repair centers that wipes out the music and the save game files on an xbox. It's not all that pratical for other uses.
