Yes, it was from a Goodwill. And Yes, It's for real. And Yes, I creased the reciept in the pic to keep my location a secret.

Original Subject Text:
I found a store that has a Miracle Piano Teaching System- Not JUST the cartridge, But the piano, box, Styrofoam, AND Manual! No cords, though. They have it at $20. Worth buying? I think so, Although i am rather curious about it.

Nah, pretty worthless. If you snag it though, I'll give ya 25 plus shipping for it.
Are you fucking kidding me? Dude, you know damn well that's the best deal you will ever see on it.

Not really. If it's missing the cords, it's pretty much useless since it requires a special one that connects the keyboard to the NES. They are almost impossible to find by themselves too. I've got a boxed Miracle Piano in the same condition that I haven't ever been able to play because of that missing cord.

You can wire up your own Miracle cable, there are instructions somewhere on this site if you search for them.

You're right, I misread. Sorry for jumping the gun. I thought it was said that it had cords too. However, I do vaguely remember what jasonlotp is talking about...I couldn't find it in a search,. but $20 is still a great deal for everything else. I usually see it all sell for much higher.

How good is the Miracle system to actually learn to play the keyboard?
What about the keyboard? Is it a special one, or are there others that will work?

A little while ago I wrote up a small webpage describing how to wire up the neccessary cable.
I think I posted the link here; you could search for it using my screenname and 'Miracle', or 'piano'.
BUT, I find the search function a little problematic sometimes, and I've found it for you.
The page is on the webserver in my home right now; I'm in New Orleans on vacation, and a couple of nights ago I learned my home router appears to have gone to the Great PCB Home In The Sky (It's DEAD). SO, the page can't be accessed right now.
But wait, I have good news - I've just saved a bunch of.. erm, no, I found the page in Google's cache:
http://64.233.187.104/search?q=cache:yAJxOoy1Q24J:64.81.193.244/miraclepiano/miraclepianocables.htm+miracle+site:64.81.193.244&hl=en&lr=lang_en
Good luck. And, fwiw, I'd love to find a complete Miracle Piano set with instructions, box, etc... for $20. Seems like a terrific price to me.
Bah. 61 key keyboards are useless for real playing anyway. :/

Thanks, people. I think i'll pick it up.
I knew i should have picked it up then and there, but then, I was rather unsure about it, since there are no cords.
And, Zing, I like your owl avatar.

Even without the cords it's a good deal. How often do you see them for sale with the box and styrofoam? Out of the 5 pianos that I have found in the wild, only one came with the box and styrofoam. The first one I bought was actually complete except for the box and styrofoam. I paid 75 bucks for it from a private seller. Later I went on and found a few more in the wild for 20 bucks each or less. I can say this though. I only have one of the cables that is needed for the NES and piano to connect. Like norkusa said, it's very hard to come by and when you do find it, chances are it's gonna cost you.

Main post updated.
Edit:
I did not notice until now that the Weekly finds are now turning into Monthly finds, and that i should not make a single post for any find, Even if it is rare. Please forgive me for this. I will not repeat it.

Jajaja found a Miracle Piano cord (well, I think).
If he has no Miracle Piano, maybe he'll part w/ it?

Sorry if people contact you unsolicited, Jajaja! Hope I wasn't out of line...

Hehe no problem :) No one have contacted me yet. Even if someone does, still no problem hehe.
I dont think I will part with it. I heard that this cable (if that is what I have) is hard to find. If I find a Miracle Piano myself oneday I will have the cord (again, if that is what I have).

How rare is the PC version? In the last month, I have seen 2 in the wild.

Question for you guys. When originally sold in stores, was the cart packaged with the keyboard, or was there a box for the keyboard and a box for the cart/instructions?

It's good to be back here after one week of not posting! GTA has been keeping me away. :)
I have been able to test the cart, And it works.
Does the Miracle Piano need a power cord, aswell as the cord to the NES? It sure looks like it needs one.

Miracle Piano is unfortunately one of the remaining "unbeaten" games on my NES list. I actually own it, complete, but have never taken the time to set it up.
Having no experience playing piano, could someone who is familiar with Miracle Piano tell me what I am in for? I know there is some kind of game mode on the cart, where you have to hit certain keys to move along gameplay, but I am guessing there are a finite amount of lessons to go through. I will have to tackle this one someday, so I might as well start gathering opinions on what it would actually take to "beat" this one.
