Aargh! I just learned this console WAS relased here in the states. I had no idea. Here I thought I was done collecting consoles that were produced after 1985!! So, what can you guys tell me about this obscure little console? Any great games? Anyone wanna sell me one? :-D

It's really not that obscure. the cd32 was basically a cut down Amiga 1200 with a cd-rom. It's not as easy to get as a 3DO but it's not as hard as something like a Pippin. I knew a lot of die hard Amiga fanboy's who owned one of these. I never did as I had fallen from the Commodore haze of the 80's into the world of 486's and days of tenticles and doom.
I think that the failure of the Sega CD and all the CD-i type of consoles coming out really watered down the market and people were just realizing that the console is only as good as the games. it had some great software only released in Europe where the console actually did well.

elf....I'll think about it. :)
Anyway, were there alot of games for it in the US? I'm assuming the majority of games were in PAL form, unplayable in the US, correct?
There are an estimated 182 games released for the CD32, though I have yet to determine how many were actually released in the US in NTSC format. However, you can play PAL games on an NTSC CD32. This can cause various problems, most commonly that the bottom inch or 2 of the screen will not show up on your TV. I've heard that if you use a monitor instead of a TV that you won't have these problems. I have yet to try it out, but it makes sense to me.
