View Full Version : Sega Genesis mini speakers
I've been looking all over for a picture of the two mini speakers that you could send away for back during the Genesis days. They were sleek and sounded great, and they plugged right into the model 1's stereo headphone jack.
There aren't any pics or information anywhere, and I'd be much obliged if someone had these speakers and could photograph them or at least lead me to someplace that has them.
Thanks!

Aw man, I had a set last year. I blew 'em when I hooked up a ac adapter too strong and pitched them. My luck.

I'm almost positive that there's a big pic of them in an issue of Sega Visions. Can't remember which issue exactly but I'm sure there is one in there.

I've got a set of em stashed away here somewhere. I can take a pic of em tomorrow if someone else doesn't beat me to it.
I recently sold a set of them to digitalpress I think. I'll look around and see if I still have a pic up.
Thanks!
I scanned an ad from the second issue of Sega Visions, but an actual photo someone can take would look much better.
Ok, I did some Photoshopping on the ad and came up with some haf-decent pics for my site's Accessory & Peripheral Guide (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Genesis%20Peripherals%202.htm). How's it look?

You need to make the black background the same color as the grey lines around the speakers. Every other picture on the page is in a box, so it looks crappy for the speakers to be floating.

I'm a SNES guy but your website's incredible!
I'm reading the "X*BAND" stuff right now!
Excellent job!
Later!

Yeah, you're right. I'll just add a white background to contrast the shadow.

Interesting stuff, I've never visited that part of the site before :/
Just a few notes: the Sega Power Strip wasn't the only power strip ever made that can take three oversize power plugs, Teradrive is one word and one R, and I wouldn't say it combined the "best of both worlds" as the PC hardware is notoriously underpowered.
I also think the Game Genie should be higher on the list :)

Fixed!

Each section is in ABC order. :)

Excellent site. Herzog Zwei actually had a prequel, "Herzog"...wow. Like I said, excellent site.

Looks great, Now you just need to do the same thing to the X Band. Nice read BTW. Your stuff is always entertaining. (:

Rats!
Cool with the other stuff.
Fixed the X-Band pic.
Thanks for the kudos guys. I've been steadily adding to this guide for the last eight months or so, and we're up to 63 items already. It's still missing some pads and sticks, but has mostly everything else.
One thing that still eludes me, however, is this one Sega tote that held eight Genny/Master System games in their boxes. It was black with blue trimming and had the Sega logo embroidered on it. It also sported a neat little handle. I can't find pics or mention of it anywhere.

Whoa! I didn't know that! That makes a hell of a lot more sense now. <slaps hand on forehead>
So what system was the original Herzog on?
