I mean, I want a new game with the old characters- to see King Cecil, Kain and those guys face a new threat, or to get Terra, Celes and Mog powered up for a new adventure.
I'm actually surprised that Square hasn't done more with characters that became popular in one run, but on the other hand I applaud their tendancy to keep going forward without milking the last big hit to death.
What do you think?

here here. A sequel to FF3 especially would be brill. I reckon the DS would be perfect for it.

i would like to see a sort of final fantasy all stars if anything. the story would need no real continuity, and everyones favorite characters could at least make a cameo if they are not playable.

Just get FF4 Advance. The extra dungeon after you pass the game is interesting and long. I got wiped out by one boss, and my levels were above 65.

I want folks to quit asking for sequals, prequals, remakes etc etc and instead try something fresh and original.

FF4 and FF6 are two of my favorite games ever, and I will despise SquareEnix when they finally decide to makes sequels of these games (as I know they will - they love to cash in these days) and make them terrible, thereby diluting the greatness of the originals.

I always wanted a sequel for FF4 that focused on Kain. As I recall, at the end, he was off working on his Dragoon skills and it always seemed that they could have probably made a kick ass story about that.

I don't think they should make a sequel for either of them
I love the games to death but they are definitly not games that need a sequel it would just ruin the name of the originals
for me FFVII it can have as many sequels as it can get because it wouldn't ruin anything of that game but FFVI and IV are just to amazing for them to ever have a sequel.

Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core
Final Fantasy VII Snowboarding
News to me, those. And it is worth noting that it did take Square nearly a decade to get around to really trying to milk this more.
Methinks the expanded editions for GBA will be sufficient.

Just as George Lucas should have let the classic films have been left untouched and non-pre/sequelized, SquareEnix should leave IV and VI alone.
