Lol, I just ran into my copy of this catalog 2 months ago.

If you check the link, pages 12, 13, 14, and 16 seem to have some of the funniest captions on them. Go by the number on the page itself, not url number.

I have that catalogue...it's in the January/Febuary 1990 issue of Nintendo Power (Vol. 10).

I still have the Mario towel that the kid is wearing around his neck on pg. 8 and the Nintendo Calendar on pg. 11. I also used to have the Mario Lunchbox and Mario Bros. board game shown on that same page. Oh yeah...and I also had that Mario notebook that the kid is writing in on pg. 10, and the Mario Bros. watch on pg. 7.

This may look like a simple pinball game, but the real fun is in seeing how fast you can break it wiht no effort whatsoever! Our current record holder snapped it in half by breathing on it! See if you can shatter it WITH YOuR MIND.

That had me laughing out loud.

That was some of the funniest shit I've read in a while! I almost pissed myself when I read the caption of the two kids playing Simon's Quest. Hysterical! I have no idea who the hell was in charge of Nintendo's brand direction back in the early 90s and late 80s - so many of those products just totally bastardized the brand integrity of what Nintendo was about at that point in time [and even now]. At least they have calmed down a little bit - Now they only put Pokemon on every product in existance rather than Mario's face & the Nintendo name.

And nowadays people complain about how Mario is whored out in games and franchises. Well back in 1988-1990, you could get any household product with Mario's face on it. They've toned it down since then (Only a few toys here and there), and it's been great. There's just no pleasing people.

Luciano Pavaratti? Beep boop boop beep beep boop??

I have the three ring folders. I've posted pics of them before. Also I have the smaller version of the system holder on page 4.

Yes, it's officially licensed by Nintendo, released by Beeshu under the name Zoomer. Still pretty crappy quality, though. I'm fairly sure that one of the NES clone companies also released a clone of this flightstick under a different name in the Southern part of Europe, so might ber possible that that's the one you spotted.

I still have an upopened package of napkins, the storage unit on the left on the page with the disorganized kid.

I have lots of stuff that wasn't in there too, probably 3rd party (the NES padlock, plastic characters you paint, etc)

Incredible.
I hear about this Ninetndoīs merchandising in Brazil for intermediate the video game magazines published in my country but i didnīt imagginate is bigger.

In Brazil, the marketing about this games is weak because the financial situation of this population.

In my country are sell imported action figures based in games likes Metal Gear, Street Fighter, Megaman and Megaman NT Warrior, but are expensive in my country because the high tributation in imported products in my country.

The same fact happens with original games for consoles imported for my country.
