Now as for the topic at hand. That's fucking awsome. I never knew they were considering taking DMC multiplatform, but then again RE5 is going to the 360 so i guess it should be expected. I mean it is Capcom

Given that DMC4 is a high class title and will get top level treatment if it truely does go on all 3 platforms it's going to be a great gauge of each systems power.

Although i must say given the control schemes used in the past DMC games i'd be quite suprised it is made a smooth translation to the Rev. Then again Nintendo has promised us a regular controller in addition to the Remote, so who knows, right? It's all speculation.

I myself want to get a PS3, but again, we don't know that the Revolution won't or will be able to do the game. It' does, however, seem reasonable to say that the Rev should have graphics at least as powerful as the original Xbox, and we've already seen some titles on both Xbox and 360. This isn't taking into account whether the Rev will have any fancy tricks. The main problem could be the controller.

I believe we've all seen the fanmade video showing the Rev controller being swung around...I don't see Capcom making the sword controllable with the controller, the moves will likely be premapped. It's the controller that bugs me most. It'd be great for freestyle attacks + fighting, but preprogrammed combos...I don't think so. Perhaps the nub joystick will end up being used for 3D movement (is that still part of the Rev controller setup?).

1. I didn't mention anything about PS3 all I said was about Revolution and I said it from wat every knows or should know by now. Sorry while you are sitting on ur fat ass replying to negative nintendo posts do some research.

2. Mark Reign asked Nintendo for REVOLUTION's DEV kit so he could try out Unreal Engine 3.0, no replay from "Big N", Capcom Announces Resident Evil 5 only for PS3 and Xbox 360... now the specs may not be final but its been a while since nintendo said anything and some developers even said that REV is a sooped up Xbox. "The dev costs will be lower compared to other consoles".. thats wat UBIsoft said meaning that REV is just a little more powerfull than gamecube!

old engines like Havoc, Source, Unreal 2 can be used to make great games I personally love Source so far havn't seen Unreal 3 in action but PS3 and Xbox360 are using 3.0 which Rev is not capable of. I just finished 2 terms in game dev program next term I am taking data structures, AI and Jave and after that I will be learning old engines. Technically I can't truly analyse the CELL and RSX or how to code for them but I am trying to learn same with the 360, 3 cored CPU is just the start and the pc will be heading the same way.

Even if it was a miss translation given RE4's exclusivity i still wouldn't be suprised if DMC4 was ported to another system. Especially if the 360 maintains a decent market share in the US.
