There has been enough interest in these models that I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in buying them.

I am also willing to do commissioned work. Price is determined by the size of the sculpture and the colors used. If you have an idea, pm me and I'll give you an estimate.

Very nice work. If I have any spare cash at the end of the month I might think about having a vectorman done by commission. Do you have any idea what one would cost? Anything around the size of the other ones you have for sale, and it would primarily be a couple shades of green. Probably something similar to my avatar. I have lots of goodies for trade too.

I could do a Vectorman for $20. He would have to be outlined like the Mega Man, though, because he's so spindly.

Wow those are rad. If I have some money also at the end of the month I might take one of those off your hands. ALso how much would a Simon Belmont run me about the size of the others?
boatofcar
01-22-2006, 01:31 PM
Belmont would be $25, because the shades of brown required are a bit more expensive. Just with the vectorman, if you want the whip extended behind, I'd have to frame it in a solid color. Here's an example of that kind of a pose.

Thought I'd give this a bump. I've recently found just the right sealant to hold these together, to prevent any shipping mishaps that have occurred in the past. I will be finishing a Boo in the next week for someone, and after that, unless any more commissions come in, I'm going to start on the rest of the FF squad.

I can do it, but pink bricks are around 20 cents a 2x2 block, so it could get expensive. Can you find me an image you'd like me to use?
Nice picture of Mr. Humphrey.
Thanks! :)

16 bit sprites are going to be expensive because of all the extra colors. However, I can do any pose you like from Sonic Pocket Adventure for around $20. Here is a sprite set from the game.

Toad on his kart like this
http://mariokart.planets.gamespy.com/smk/images/not%20animated%20sprites/toadfront.gif
would run about $40, just because 16 bit sprites have so many more colors than 8 bit sprites. To see what I'm talking about, save that pic and zoom in on it. Each color has two or three different shades. Obviously the lego-fied version would be simplified somewhat, but at the very least I'd use alternate shades of red for the kart and black for the tires, and those non-standard colors run upwards of 20 cents a block.

It doesn't have to be framed, but there is a chance his arm sticking out might break off in shipment, even if it's glued. Of course, they're legos, so you can just put it back on.
The link is $20.

I don't know what you use to come up with your creations but they look good. You might try modge podge glue from a hobby type store. It's what I use to glue puzzles together and it's flexible when dried so it won't crack. I could probably roll a puzzle up when i was all done if i gave it time to flex properly and it dries all clear if i remember correctly(i think it goes on the face) worth a looksee...and if you can't find it...i can double check the name.

That is EXACTLY what I use. Then, for added protection, I use a clear spray sealant.

I was wondering if you would be interested in making a Neo-Geo Logo for me ?
It would be this one that is on the side of my SC-19

Approximate size would be around a foot or so, doesnt really matter as long as it reatians the same look.
I can get you some better pics to work off of.
Thanks :)

what about a basic arcade cabinet, sort of like the one farther up there ^^, maybe like 6 or 7 feet... Hollow, of course.. i think it would be pretty cool, but that is something that is completely different then what you are doing (judging from the pics) if you or anyone else is up to it, i can offer like 700 or something like that

Yeah man, I've got to be honest....when I first saw that arcade pic I thought...."How in the hell did he do that?"
Anyways, I have been watching you and I think the stuff you are doing is excellent! I too am a Bricklink.com member and a collector.

While that would be super cool, it would cost at least $700 in parts alone, and thats if you only use the basic lego colors. Dangerboy's PS Logo was about 2 feet by 2 feet and cost me $50 in bricks.

I can do that. It would cost $60. The Brown and Aqua-Marine type green on the dragon make it more expensive.

I like them alot. You should open up a shop on bricklink.com and sell these as custom sets. I think they would do very well. You can also use bricklink to get the individual parts you need to keep on making these.
I've actually been thinking about doing something similar myself with my Back to the Future Delorean and Ecto 1. Just gotta order the extra pieces to do it.
Keep up the great work!
