I brought it to class today, in hopes of doing some wireless stuff with a classmate. He didn't bring his PSP (that bastard), which sucked...but when I got into my car to go home I realized I didn't have it. It's probably gone for good...but I'm gonna check back there tomorrow one last time to make sure.

I know this isn't the end of the world or anything, and it's not like it was my only system either. But I'm still pretty damn pissed right now. I'm sure I'm not the only person around here this has happened to either...anyone else lose a PSP or something similar while out and about?

Well why did it leave your pocket if you weren't gonna use it?

I hope you find it.

Wow, thats sucks alot. I rarely take my PSP anywhere outside the house, so much for it being a portable system.

It wasn't in my pocket...it was in my laptop bag. In retrospect, it would've been better off in my pocket in the first place. It's plausible that it could've fallen out, but it's unfortunately also possible that someone just plain swiped it. Here's hoping it's the former and some good soul returned it to the school. I'll know one way or another tomorrow.

On the bright side, it's not like you'll be missing out on any must-have games because of this. Well, not any time soon anyway.

LOL This is true. It's weird...for whatever reason, I completely forget I even had it with me (I guess game design classes are just too interesting...yeah, that's it). It wasn't until I was on my way out the door that I remembered.

Mine was stolen out of my car. I miss the TG-16 emulation.

I think the definition of "portable" is, and will continue to, change. I like being able to pick this thing up at a moment's notice at home, play the heck out of it, and drop it back into sleep mode. Quick and easy. That, to me, is portable.

That sucks I hope you find it. I know I would have a big hole in me if I were to loose mine.

Pretty much the same here. LOL

Hope it turns up, I know I'd be really bummed if I lost one of my portables.

You lost it at school? Notifiy the lost and found. If it doesn't turn up, it was stolen, period. PSPs that are lost have a tendency to be found quite easily...by someone. Doens't mena they'll give it back if they saw it lying around.

Notify the police and give them and all the local pawn shops the serial number, which is on the box the PSP came in, iirc. You did save your box, didn't you?

If it turns up, bust them bitches.

I do still have the box. I didn't think about going that far, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to try. My school is in one of the...how should I put this..."less safe" areas of the Twin Cities. In fact, there was once a fatal drive-by shooting outside our building while I was in class. I didn't even know about it until the next day. @_@

I remember I reserved my FF:TA and got it on launch day. Like, three days later, I was playing DDR, and I took my GBA SP out of my pocket so I wouldn't bang it into the machine or sweat on it or anything. I laid it on top of the machine. Got home, realized I didn't have it, and by then the arcade was closed. I was there waiting for them to open the very next day. Had to skip two advanced English classes to do it, but at the time, I hadn't realized how terrible a game FF:TA is, and I was more afraid of losing my save than the hardware. It was still on top of the machine, right where I left it.

(About two or three months later, Continental Airlines would depressurize their 737's cabin slightly and destroy the system by smashing the liquid crystal inside the screen. C'est la vie.)

Update...

My mother decided to take it upon herself to sew the tears in my laptop bag back together, and in the process she found my PSP in one of the pockets. I'm relieved, but feel incredibly stupid for not seeing it sooner and creating such a ruckus at my school over it. Oh well...what matters is that it's back and unharmed, as it were.

Thankfully, it never got quite that far. I did have to take down a bunch of fliers at my school, but that's about it.

I lost my usb drive once at my university, I was very pissed about it. Then I just ask the lady that worked in the computer rooms lost and found, and she said what does it look like, I told her, and bam, got my usb drive back. So man keep your hopes up!
