I'm taking a wild guess, but I'd bet that it's worth $400+. I know the original Space Invaders is worth that, I'm not really sure about Deluxe.
There are some newsgroups where you'd probably have any easy time selling this. Look up Rec.Games.Video.Arcade.Marketplace and Rec.Games.Video.Arcade.Collecting . Other than that you could always sell it on eBay. You could just have some text saying "pick up only" if you didn't want to ship the thing. Another good place to look would be the Buy/Sell forum on this board. I sold an arcade game through this board a few years ago, and it was a very easy transaction.

From what I've heard from my arcade machine collecting friend, it's sort of like a cart and system combo.. The side art has to be intact, everything has to be mint including the monitor. Was Astroids Deluxe a rare game? no, many 1000's were made. It is worth around $600 if it is mint and the monitor is functioning properly (That's real mint, not ebay "mint").

the side art and a fuzzy monitor on this Deluxe kept this cabinet from breaking even $200.00. just a little damage on these things takes off $100's.
The average is $350-$400 for an asteroids Deluxe.

He was asking about Space Invaders Deluxe, not Asteroids Deluxe.

The average classic game like Space Invaders Deluxe is worth about $400-500. I'd guess that's about what it's worth. If it's MINT, it's probably worth more, but that's only assuming it's been "shopped" and is complete with the docs (which are usually stored inside the machine). When a game has been shopped, it means a tech went over it, cleaned it, checked all the connections, replaced anything that needed it, and tweaked everything that needed it, then gave it a thorough cleaning/polishing. Arcade games are a pain to deal in cause, while cool, the older ones have a tendency to break. A LOT. It's a pain in the ass, but they need fairly regular maintenance if they're not well cared for. Just turning one on can blow it out sometimes. Hope that helps!

oops! wrong deluxe lol! Well, now you can feel better in that you are well informed about Astroids Deluxe!
the basics are there, condition is the only selling factor.. most old games don't break $500 ever unless you have a fanboy game like Tron.

Yeah Superstonic's got it right. Midway SI Deluxe's depending on condition avg. anywhere from $100-$400.
Now if it was an upright TAITO Space Invaders PART 2 with mirrored background. Then that's a whole different story! :D Those were so much nicer than the Midway cabs and had superior artwork and backgrounds. Add in the joystick control and you've got a rare cab indeed. :) Too bad you can't really find these in the states.
